I thought the idea was to get a batter out every once in a while as a relief pitcher, or at least mix in a strike here or there.
5 batters faced 4 get on and the only guy this loser gets out sacrafice bunted.
Relief pitching in this game has become equivilent to that of little league where the coach keeps lobbing them up there until the kids hit the ball.

lucky they didn't go to Jeff Tam earlier, but why would you have to when you've got Bradford and Venafro in there to seal the deal.
This game was a typical major league game, oakland leaves runners stranded all night and hits into about 4 dp's, texas scores 3 runs on 2 hits and goes scoreless the next 5 innings with only 2 more hits then oakland finally cashes in with some runners on base and all of a sudden oakland can't get a texas hitter out after grabbing the lead.
I'll chalk this one up as a bad bet what else can you do?

Sorry about the loss but cut Bradford some slack..the guy has been one of the best middle relivers in either league all season long. He had allowed one earned run since June 5th...he was more than due to have a bad outing sooner or later.
