I do believe in fixed games at all levels and in all sports (where there is a wagering line). Not every game, but a small percentage I think are. I do not believe in Karma, nor do I believe in Buddhism (I think that's where Karma comes from, but I very well could be wrong there). I don't think God cares in the least bit who wins when the Raptors and Pistons play or what the spread or moneyline was. Sports are a human folly, and while I love sports and think they are great, I don't think God could care less about them.
I do believe in leading my life a certain way and the following few principles are ways I do: I believe in treating others as I would like to be treated. I believe that it is far better to give than to receive. I believe in building up others through kind words, kind gestures, or just about anything to make another feel good about themself (being careful not to "sexually harass" especially a female subordinate). I believe that I and EVERY ADULT should be advocates for children, elderly, handicapped, and mentally challenged people, especially kids. I believe in not putting myself in places where something bad is liable to happen. I believe in holding the door open for ladies and giving up my seat for a lady or an elderly person. I believe I don't need to be compensated monetarily for every job/deed I do for somebody who is in need. I believe that if I don't have something good to say, I should just keep my mouth shut (this is a HARD one, and I am getting better at it). I believe that the human touch is a mighty powerful thing. Again, nowadays, u have to be careful u don't get accused of sexual harassment
but giving a pat on the back, a hug, a good firm handshake, etc. to women AND men. I'm not afraid of showing emotion, and I don't think showing emotion means that a man is weak or gay.
To qualify this post, I have conversed with Nick many, many times although I have never personally met him. I believe that he is a great guy who would do anything within reason to help another, and I think he probably holds to many of the same principles that I do. I respcect him quite a lot. I am in no way cutting down him or his thoughts or ideas although we have had many debates, lol. Thanks for provoking thought once again, Nick!
