MadJack - feel free to delete this post as I know how much you like it when someone points out an offshore not sponsering your site, but for the good of the players (us), I just received an e-mail of an online sportsbook offering nickel lines on both sides and totals (MLB), and dime lines on any other sports. With the competition growing, soon is the day when all the books will cut down the juice by half. This is just the beginning.

The url is:

no advertising!

Katts,

Do you know anything about this book? 5c on totals and sides in baseball? You have GOT to be kidding. You are touting them?? Not surprising, given what I know about you.

Then you have the balls to make a smart-ass comment about Jack not 'liking' posts about non-sponsors.

Listen Einstein, this vig structure will NEVER be the norm and anybody who plays into a book like this should expect to be stiffed. It's very easy to set up shop, make a half-ass marketing campaign (ie..spamming morons who buy it.. like yourself) and walk away with 200-500k or so before anybody can blink.

I sure hope that you are getting some residual for this spam, because otherwise you have to be the biggest idiot that I have ever seen.

Either way, you are what you are.

MadJack - don't get me wrong, if told you to "feel free to delete this message", it's simply because you clearly stated in your "Site Rules" topic that you didn't want any advertising here. Nothing to do with kosar's point of view, allthough I understand his thinking. Not saying that he expressed his thinking using the appropriate words but I can understand. Just something he has against me I guess.

Now I don't know if this is considered as advertising or not, since I'm just pointing out something that could give a better advantage to the player - not the bookmaker. I'm not related in any way with this book, and if I'm pointing it out, maybe it's just because I want to know if anybody knows anything about them. Not interested in hearing what people don't know about them..

Here's what the "ABOUT US" page says:

no advertising.

Katts,

That's funny as hell..i'm dying.

But seriously, do you know anything about this book?

Do you not think that this is a reasonable question given how hard you are touting this book and potentially leading members of the forum into stiff-city?

Katts,

What do you know about this book other than the fact that you received an email? Anything?? I didn't think so.

So there are two choices here:

1. You are getting a cut for shamelessly promoting them. That makes you a whore who is more than willing to send your fellow forum members down the river.

2. You are willing to blindly, irresponsibly shill for a book that has little chance to make it and you are too stupid to realize it.Of course this option also entails sending others down the toilet.

Which is it?

Do you know ANYTHING about this book?

Simple question putz boy.

Katts,

Your second post was MUCH different than your first. You were NOT asking for opinions in the initial post, you were touting this 'wave of the future' sportsbook. Apparently you saw how silly you looked and took a different approach.

Then you come back and act dumb (not hard) and say that you just wanted others opinions. HA! Ok buddy.

Why don't you just try them out and report back? We'll all be on the edge of our seats.

Only a matter of point of view kosar

But I still believe that soon is the day when most of the books will ofer dime lines on all major sports (football, baseball, basketball and hockey).

katts- the reason for the 'no advertising' policy is because there are sportsbooks (proven reputable) that spend money advertising on this site. It's not fair to THEM to have people touting OTHER books here. Why can't you understand that?

I never heard of that book and wouldn't let them advertise here if they sent me a western union tomorrow for a 1 year campaign. Maybe they are a good book and maybe not. You send 'you're' money, like kosar said, and let us know how it goes. But, don't come crying here when you get stiffed.

And, I will edit it out, thank you.

I appreciate the shot you took at me too. Thanks, pal!

Geese Jack...

I appreciate the shot you took at me too. Thanks, pal!

Now THAT is a total misunderstanding. I insure you.

e-mail me please, I'll give you my phone#. I'm really starting to hate these forums again. No eye contact, no voice intonation... Nothing but a good real-time conversation. My english isn't as good as yours for sure, but I'll feel a lot more better if I can talk to you - you'll know that there was absolutely no personal attack here.

What if I told you that I know of a book that DOES NOT CHARGE JUICE; PERIOD! And if that's not a good enuff incentive to load up with them, they even offer a 30% sign up bonus!! They DO exist...

That's exactly what I was saying Neemer... Thanks for backing me here, I really felt like the "bad guy" even if deep inside of me I know that there's no reason to feel this way. I said it before and I say it again: the communication via the Internet is absolutely meaningless. You might think whatever you want, but I've been using the Internet (on a regular basis) since 1991, and if there's something that I've learned (and still learning), it's gotta be that. I usually try to use a "neutral" writing style for online communications, but sometimes I'm just... me. And btw, "me" is a native french canadian, so sorry if I don't always use the correct english and the correct expressions at the right time.

I'd like to read in everybody's mind and find a way to communicate my thoughts in order to not offusk anyone, but I can't. Why? Because I'm human, and most importantly, I'm ME. I'm not perfect; nobody is. I know that some people love me, I know that some people hate me - whether it's in real life or on the Internet, allthough I figured out that it's almost impossible to unveal your real personality on the internet, and that's why it's so hard to be understood at times. You create a visual image in your mind, and you fall into the trap to "really" believe that "this" guy probably "look this way", probably "talk this way", etc.. But anyways.. that being said, to be honest, I don't hate it that much when someone is bashing me, especially when it's kosar.. my good ol' pal. It amuses me more than anything else - why the many

smiles.

MadJack, I hope you'll read my last post because I really want you to call me. You sound like you have something against me here, and I'm dying to know what it is, because quite frankly I don't know what I did or said to offusk you, unless you're still thinking of that e-mail I sent you before I took a break here. If this is the case, well once again the only thing I can tell you is that I trust YOU, but this doesn't mean that I trust this whole site. It would be like saying: "if you trust your president, you gotta trust everybody living in your country" - that doesn't make any sense. And dam.. you know that.

Now as for the books offering nickel lines - or even "no juice" lines according to Neemer - , if some of you wonder how can they make money, well in most of the cases it's quite simple: these sportbooks also own online casinos. It's like when you go buy a BigMac at 99c at McDonald's - they won't make any profit on the BigMac (well not much anyway), but they know that it's not everybody who will go there to only buy BigMacs. A few will do it, but they know that most of the time, the client will also buy a soda and some french fries, and that's where the money is made. A good % of "basically" sports bettors will soon or later fall into the temptation of playing a couple of bucks at Black Jack or Roulette, in analogy with the soda and french fries. It's as simple as that. Of course there are some other technicalities, like very often, when you send money to an offshore, don't think that they will let it sleep. I don't know the exact laws about that here so I won't comment. But technically, your money isn't 100% safe, wherever it is.

To Jack: Note about "advertising": that's why I mentionned to feel free to delete the topic. I know you don't like it when someone does that - am I right or am I wrong? - you call it "a shot I took at you", I call it reality. And I have to understand you, gee there was absolutely no attack here... I co-owned a video games business for 2 years, and the one thing that I really hated was when some clients (not even knowing each others) were talking about better prices at a different store. But the bottom line is, I'm not gambling to buy a product, but to win money. So I'll take advantage of everything I can, and am willing to share the information here. Basically, shopping for lines is a very important aspect of the game, so when I found out this book, I really felt that I had to share the information with everybody here, since as far as I'm concerned, this is a sports gambling forum (not a sportsbook) owned by an (some) independant person(s), not by the sportsbooks sponsering it. Correct me if I'm wrong. That's "how" I see it. When you go see an F-1 race sponsored by Marlboro, does it mean that you don't have the right to smoke Camels? I insure you, I was not trying to advertise anything here, I was just pointing out other options. And yes, I really think that most of the sportsbooks will soon or later offer dime lines on any sports, and nickel lines on baseball. I won't say the opposite just to make you happy, because that's not what I think. Again, I might be wrong, but nobody's always right. I don't believe in easy money, and the bookies might have to learn this the hard way in the years to come. That's what I meant when I stated "this is just the beginning", nothing else. But whatever.. I understand your point of view, and since you own this site, I'll follow the rules.

I think I said it all here, but I'd still appreciate it if you call me, to clarify the whole thing in a real-time conversation.

Oh and since nobody seems to know the book I mentionned (obviously a new one), I'll take a chance and I'll send a couple of hundreds to them, and request a withdrawal a couple of weeks later - just to see. I'll let you know what happens.

As long as that book openly admits that they absolutely, positively, do not allow employees of said book into gambling forums (such as Madjack's) with the intent of "spying" on particular posters who might have discovered a trend or system that others have known about for quite some time...then hey, I see no problem.

Hoops - I'm always amazed to see how some people just aren't able to turn the page ..
Last time you pointed back that jai alai thing, this time it's that.. I mean, not that I'm surprised to see you pointing it back, and once again I feel quite honored that you remind it, just shows that you didn't swallow it yet, but I highly suggest you to learn to release all the negative in your life as fast as you can, you'll feel much better inside. It's not always an easy task, but it's always possible.

And as I allready said, there's too much stuff to read in this place to waste any time on things that don't interest you. You don't like me? Well then by all means, ignore my posts, turn the page and focuss all your energy on what you do best: capping sports. Bashing people never leads to anything positive.

Hate to butt in here on these "discussions" but none of this serves any purpose at the end of the day - the idea of Jacks forum is for people to share their views - yes there will inevitably be a difference of opinion but why can people not be civilised and agree to differ - or do I ask too much?
