i apologize foor the "insane" remark in the calzaghe/jones thread...as i was typing,i was struggling to get a workable feed,was being harrassed by family,and being headbutted by the cat...all simultaneously......

and a few coors lights didn`t hurt,either...

it didn`t come out the way i intended...

i was hurried,harangued and didn`t express myself very effectively...

From browsing general forums, it appears I really was the only person on the planet to have Jones well ahead after 5. So by definition, my opinion is indeed "insane".

I watched with no volume and no Lederman, I saw one man turtling on the ropes and absorbing combos of missed, weak punches, then countering with 1 or 2 flush power shots of his own. I scored the clean shots, not the activity.

I was also distracted by the live betting lines and not paying full attention.


Anyway, I respect your opinion as a person and a boxing fan, so no offense taken

i appreciate it....and i understand your point about effective punches...joe was doing way to much shoe shine for my tastes...

I must admit, I was loving NJ's opinions of the fight!!

I had a huge wager on Roy and was watching the fight on PPV while stone cold sober.
