Texas -1.5 over Lipscomb **
You would think I would know more about the Longhorns since I've seen them about 8 or 9 times in person..but this team still mystifies me...they lose 4 out of last 5 ,then win the next 4 with their big man out for the season.. Then in between that Roach gets suspended 4 games..they have have upped their defense but still a question mark on offense...the big question here in Austin radio is " do they put a banner up if they win the NIT's..think we should wait to see the outcome the good news is the team is in NYC so they can't hear the talk...then it hit me.. I was at the game last year when Texas blew them away...have no notes or recollection of the game can't even find the program for the game...they best them 80-57 and Lipscomb shot 2-23 from the 3..that is 8%...but Texas shot 3-16 from teh 3...
anyway think Coleman,Ramy and Roach are attacking gds that the Bisons will have trouble stopping.. Sims inside is playing well and Oset could have another breakout game...Lip has Mathews a big time scorer..they are up in the top 40's i s omany offensive categories ..they can shoot and there are a few player that can hit...but the one thing Texas has improved on in its last few games is perimeter defense..these guys could shoot last yr and an amazing 8%...Lip beat Wichita and NC State so they are good but think the Texas Longhorns some how pull this game out.. Hopefully with under 30 seconds if its close Texas will lose...you would think Texas would have some play set up if its close at the end.. no problem..Roach will drive to the basket out of control and hoist a missed forced shot...but I'm betting that with under 30 seconds Texas is up by 8 or 9 pts and Roach can do what ever he wants at the end.
Does Texas put a NIT Banner up in the rafters of Erwin center...they need to win 1st by 2 pts..then I will help them hoist it up
