Alabama -1.5 OT win on the road last out was a character builder for a young Bama team. They come into NYC with some confidence that they can win a big game on the road. talent wise they are superior to detroit, they have more size, faced tougher competition, and I beleive will be ready. Detroit will not go lightly as they are a formidable opponent but asking for four staight road wins is alot to ask.

Alabama should handle the boards and in a defensive struggle that i expect, this is a major advantage. bama has won the rebound battle last five by 3, 15, 12, 13, and 18, averaging almost 44 per game to detroit's 30 during same period.

Detroit lives with the three point shot. Bama better then average at defensing 3's. This should create alot of one and out for detroit will bama dominating the boards. If bama can get a transistion game going it will spell trouble for Detroit.

bama not a great free throw shooting team at 69% but get to line on average 7 time more then opponents. With the small line to cover this should be enough.

Bama wins by 8

memphis -2 Tigers have been impressive in NIT run. They are another team that takes care of the boards. Foul shooting is their achellis heel and have to take that into consideration. Memphis should dominate the inside and are one of the best offensive rebounding teams around. teams that hit the boards do well at this time of the year.

Lay the 2 with memphis
