The Highwaymen met and recorded this tune when students at Wesleyan Univ....Only 2 of the original 5 Highwaymen are still alive - Stephen Trott went on to Harvard Law School, is now a Senior Circuit Judge for the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit (Reagan originally wanted to appoint him FBI director)....and Dr. Steve Butts, who earned a PH.D. in Chinese Studies from Columbia University, is a retired educator.
