Here's our guy. He came from a track in Kansas. They are really loving, loyal pets. When he runs loose he's in heaven. After that he's a brody 5.jpg 45 mile an hour couch potato.

 I guess I don't understand the problem? banning dog races now? Understand dog fighting but races? why? Horses are way more mistreated than dogs that race. Guess PETA will want horse racing to cease next

PETA and other animal lovers spread some real lies about the sport.

They had a bunch of celebs behind them too.

Many people are losing their jobs.

I wanna say you are joking, but with you it's always better to assume worst case scenario.

Those dogs are treated horribly, but you've already shown you couldn't give a shit less about others when your entertainment is in play.

Is there still dog racing in western Iowa?
Dubuque has a live dog racing track and there was a story in the fish wrap about them being concerned about not having enough dogs for a live meet next year as Florida would send many to Iowa for the summer racing season.

Hey reds. We used to have live racing at Sodrac Park. It was a blast. People used to come from Kansas City, Omaha, and Minneapolis on the Friday and Saturday night. There would a bunch of buses in the parking lot.

Dubuque just got done with there meet last Sunday. They had a record handle for the simulcasting.

The ban does not start until the end of 2020.

I really think that someone should reopen defunct tracks in Kansas City or Wichita. I think it would be a gold mine for simulcasting.

We will see.

I thought live racing had ended over your way but wasn't sure. Going to be tough for northern dog tracks to stay open if a large market such as florida gets out of the game.
I've bet the dogs on simulcast before but have never been at the track when they've run live.
Doesn't surprise me that Dubuque did so well with their handle this season. They draw from the tri-state area and the closest casinos in that area are Madison which is two hours away and clinton which is an hour south and its even further into Illinois to find a casino--thinking you'd have to go to the chicago area or back down to the Quad Cities to find a casino on the Illinois side.
Clinton's casino added simulcasting a couple of years ago but I don't know what kind of business they do there.

What the northern tracks will do is have live racing for 9 months and then simulcast for 3 months. With the Florida tracks closing, simulcasting will be huge.

I always heard that dogs that ran poorly were killed (or I guess sent to rescue operations). I have some friends that have had former racing dogs as pets since the 80s. I love dogs, and I could care less about dog racing, and to be perfectly clear, I think PETA is a horrible organization.

Of all the organizations on planet earth, I'd rank them in the Top 20. I love what they do, PETA rules:00hour
