Okay.....

McCoy just said it...Pete Carroll said it after Rose Bowl...Utah is thinking it...Most likely the winner of the BCS will allude to it....
...pleasse.....pleeeeease go to a 8 team play off system.

Get rid of the first two weeks of bullshit, weak games everyone plays and basically only add an extra week to ten days to the season...

I know...it will not happen soon...but doesn't it need to eventually with all the parody that the NCAA is churning out each year?

Okay...I am off the soap box.

Um Utah Florida and USC are all better than texas IMO. Especially at this point of the season. Texas has no run game, and no run d. Good luck being one dimensional against USC

We have discussed this here at length - either way has problems.

How do you decide the 8 i n a playoff- for this year you gonna cut out the Big East and ACC -the conferences will never agree to that. You gonna decide that undefeated Boise is out because its 9th? If the 6 conference winners get in and a team in Utah's spot, tell me how you would have decided between Bama, Texas, Texas Tech and Boise for the last spot? We STILL would have had the absurd Big 12 problem. Or add USC to the list if Oregon State had beaten Oregon. That would have been a joke of a playoff, right? Only one of USC, Bama, Texas and Tech would have been in.

2005 - should USC and Texas have had to win 2 more games to play for the title when nobody was even close to them?

Most years the BCS has the right two teams. To me the real flaw is it makes all the other bowl games useless and you get horrible matchups because of the tie ins.

I know...thats why it will never happen...it would be just as convoluted as the current BCS system...guess there is no fix and no real National Champ??? Just pissed because the system does not work???:sadwave:

I'll skip the discourse on a playoff system. He's a douche bag for saying that. They and OSU played like shit most of the night. Their defenses arent as good as the score and complete abortion of a first half made it seem.

WHILE YOU ARE CORRECT, AT LEAST THE WINNER WOULD BE DECIDED ON THE FIELD, NOT IN THE COMPUTER. YOU WOULD, MORE THAN LIKELY, HAVE THE BEST AND MOST DESERVING TEAM PLAYING FOR THE CHAMPIONSHIP.

Agreed, its one thing if they pounded the Bucks, but they barely beat the second best team in a crummy conference...

full 16 team playoff where every conference champ gets in is the only real way to solve this...

Were talking a good month before the Championship game is played this year.
Why not do 16 team playoff.
This dragging on this year has been the worst ever.
