To chip in here, I love Chuck. I think he is wonderful on TV. He is funny, he knows his stuff, he and the players being interviewed give each other hell, and he has the balls to say what others would not.
I watched a little of NBC's pregame coverage on Christmas Day and have not watched it since. I love the NBA but I will wait until the game starts if it means watching NBC's pregame. Jason WIlliams was the worst. He was a just a notch better than Eric DIckerson. JW was the most fake person I have ever seen.
Also, Nolan and others look at a line sheet and start looking down the page at where the conference tournaments are being played. There is a Jenny Craig Arena in San Diego. I saw this and just started laughing my ass off. When we name an arena after Jenny Craig, this corporate sponsership has gone too far.

I think Nolan was reffering to Barkley's colour comentary on the NYK-Heat game thursday night. I think he's ok on the pre-game show, but I didn't like him as a colour comentator.

i haven't read nolan's article yet, but i like Barkley as a commentator. he seems completely empty of BS. whether one agrees with him or not, he'll say it. the knicks heat game as i watched made me wonder at times why i really like the nba and charles comments really kept me watching.
i think he lends a kind of perspective that is refreshing and i like it.
