Coach Williams & his coaching abilities have been the subject of much speculation over the years which is fine. Everyone is entitled to their opinion. What can NEVER be questioned is the class & character he has & that he instills in his players. His comments to Coach Pearl during the Post-Game Handshake & in his Post-Game Presser about the injury to Chuma Okeke were from the heart & so much appreciated not only by Pearl but the entire Auburn Family. As Okeke was being helped off the Court there was not just one or two Tar Heels that came over to give him a hug & pat on the back, there were about 6 or 7. That's a reflection of their Coach.

Last night was one of the greatest wins in Auburn Basketball history but what I will remember the most is the class, character & dignity Coach Williams & his Team showed one of our best Players when he went down.

Not sure why his coaching should be questioned...his record speaks for itself...Until last night...With about 8 min left we had Cam,Luke and another sitting at the scorers table with 2 TOs left. Coby was our only real shooter on the floor. There was no stoppage of play for about 3-4 min. By the time there was stoppage it was too late. Can not understand why he did not call one after one of our made baskets...we finished with both still on the scoreboard. Not sure if it would have mattered but we could have gotten those boys in much sooner.

I see your point but when a team scores 56 points in the 2nd Half making 12 shots from behind the arc there is not much the opposing Coach can do. I would like to take this opportunity to thank you, your Team & your Coach for the class & character they displayed last night. That is why North Carolina is arguably the best basketball program in the country. Wish the Tar Heels much success in the future. :0074

Much appreciated D2. I take a lot of pride in my school as I went to games as a 5 yo and have not stopped. The academic scandal was something that hit me hard although exonerated. It is a beautiful place and have daughter there now. Love going there to visit. Thanks for the kind words. The better team won last night and 12/18 from 3 is tough. You are right, it very well may not have mattered, just should have had our guys out there at 8 min mark. Will likely pull for you guys. GL the rest of the way. Hope your big man gets back. Absolute beast!!
