I realize UNC is a terrible team having a terrible year, but am I the only one who thinks there performance tonight was a total joke. I mean if you cant play better against Ohio at home than they did tonight then I dont see any future in this team and especially Matt Doherty.............If I was running this program he would be fired at the end of the year..................Everyone keeps making excuses for him at his team but most of these recruits he has cant play a lick of defense.

i laughed too.....but then again look at who else UNC lost to this year Hellah.....am not sure if you want to put Ohio in the company of a couple other schools who beat them......

but lets not lose hope of the future. This is carolina we are talking about and this is the first time since I can remember and have heard about that this team has been this bad. Daugherty might be to blame (in my opinion he wasn't a proven coach when hired) but it also goes back to guthridge's failure to recruit players the year he decided to leave. Do you think that he left b/c he was tired and wore out...no he left b/c he knew that he had no chance in two years. And forte leaving didn't help either....ruined his hopes of nba stardom too. So should daugherty get the boot.......NO not yet b/c he can lead this team from the sideline (was fired up when they made that run last night) but can he recruit?? Next year might be better if he can get a couple of guards who can run the floor. The only way he is forced out is if George Karl leaves the NBA. He wants to coach in Carolina and would have before if it wasn't for his contract, so we will just have to sit back and keep rooting b/c they will turn around in a year or two. Remember when people were saying the same thing about duke a few years back!!

You aren't the only one who thinks everyone makes excuses for them. The announcers for ESPN are laughable. They continually make excuses for them when the fact of the matter is this team deserves zero TV time. But apparently ESPN just can't get enough Duke/NCaro and Maryland/NC games that result in one sided blowouts. I never understood why ESPN feels compelled to show us games like Cincy/Southern Miss or Duke/Mich or Kansas/Iowa State when these games figure to be blowouts. I'm sure they rationalize that the TV schedule has to be made up 1 year in advance, blah blah blah. I would like to hear them say "hey UNC is a rat this year".
they do show an awful lot of these games. especially duke..that is b/c of duke vitale!!!!!! I think he and coach k have something going on so duke vitale demands that he go to as many games as possible...ohhhh I hate duke vitale if you couldn't tell
