It seems to me that Airforce is in a good spot at home in a pick'em gave vs a nortwestern squad that is basically rebuilding the whole team. Northwestern brings a very young squad into this game with only five seniors on the whole team. They also are bringing in a new offensive and defensive coordinator. The defensive will now sport a 4 3 scheme to try and stop the run. This ironically is airforces specialty and typically are in the top five rushing teams nationally. Last year avg. almost 280ypg on the ground. Airforce puts up the points too, scoring over 30 in 12 of their last 17 contests. Airforce controls non-conference foes at home going 19-4 the last 23 games. The last stat I look at is the DeBerry factor. Airforce's coach is 10-1 in home openers against non-conference opponents. Hopefully this helps.:D

What's the sea level between where Northwestern playes and Airforce Academy? My computer program shows Airforce winning 38 to 30. The line is going down also, Airforce now a +1. Maby at small ML price tommorow if goes to +2.

If the info i got is correct then Airforce's Faclon stadium is roughly 6000 feet above sea level. Northwestern typically practices at 600 feet above sea level. That's 10x higher elevation. I don't really account for this in my selection process though. If I remember correctly this used to be a popular way for linemakers to tack a point or two extra on Bronco games years back. However today I'm not sure how much elevation is taken into consideration, or even how it really affects the players. Thoughts are welcome.

C. Springs is a whopping 8000 ft. elevation and the academy is another few hundred feet higher. The air is thin, my friends and af has often upstaged the non conference boys. I like em for a unit or two.

I was at an AF in 92 watching my friend who played for HI. The elevation is about 6600 ft (there was a banner reminding players of it) but it wasn't necessary. He was having a tough time getting breath inwarmups. Said he was struggling after two kick returns in early outs, so yes it does affect you early, but I think your body adjusts after awhile. Maybe, depends on your mental toughness. It is factor for flatland or seas level teams.
