https://www.yahoo.com/news/trump-pitch-oil-companies-turns-130450467.html

voters were asked if a nameless presidential candidate openly asked the oil & gas industry for a bribe (donate $1B to my campaign and I promise I'll let you fuck over this country as hard as you want to). 42% of republicans said that would make them less likely to vote for that person.

once they were told it was trump that actually said it, suddenly 42% of republicans said that would make them MORE likely to vote for him, and only 12% said it was less likely.

when the hell are magas just going to admit to themselves they are in a cult? "yup, that's bad. really bad. oh, donald said it? well, he's my guy. yeah, i'm totally fine with this country getting fucked over by the oil and gas industry, as long as trump is helping them."

maybe the best part of all the hypocrisy... back in 2016, so many of y'all said you liked him because he was so rich, he couldn't be bought. while most of us knew that was just more bullshit, now he is openly soliciting bribes. and y'all Do. Not. Care.

sooo... you don't see any difference between the oil & gas industry giving a couple million to the biden campaign (i assume) vs trump telling the industry he'll be in their pocket if they give him $1B?

and wasn't that the initial appeal of trump (besides the overt racism)? that he WASN'T a typical politician and couldn't be bought?
