Pitts will mixt the lines for tonight.
Jagr wont play with lemieux.
Triing not to help the other team put the defensive line against Lemieux ones.

Toronto coaching staff sow each player individually after the lost to florida on Wednesday. Might provide a little more juice of of this no charater team.

Terreri for nyislanders.
I thaught this could interest you........
New York Islanders at Dallas Stars
Gametime: 8:30 p.m. EST

Dallas, TX (March 23) The Islanders have been playing solid hockey of late as they?ve
posted recent wins over the Pittsburgh Penguins and St. Louis Blues.

On Tuesday, Roman Hamrlik's goal just 23 seconds into the extra frame lifted the
Islanders to a 4-3 victory over the Blues, who owned the best home record in the NHL.
It also ended a personal six-game losing streak for Rick DiPietro. The Islanders had
scored just five goals in DiPietro's previous six starts.

Chris Terreri will start tonight for the Islanders. He will get a stiff test from the Stars, who are hitting on all cylinders ? particularly after they thumped the Mighty Ducks of Anaheim by an 8-0 score on Tuesday.

Two of the biggest reasons for the Stars? success have been the play of Brett Hull and
Mike Modano. The duo has put Dallas on the verge of a fifth straight Pacific Division
title. The Stars will go into tonight?s game with a three-game winning streak and a
five-game unbeaten mark. They have outscored the opposition, 21-3, during that span.

Hull recorded his first four-goal game in nearly six years and Ed Belfour notched his
eighth shutout of the season against the Mighty Ducks. If that?s not enough, ?The
Golden Brett? has seven goals and two assists in his last three games after scoring just twice in his previous 15 contests. Modano, Hull?s linemate, has two goals and six assists in the past three games.

Belfour and backup Marty Turco have combined to stop 113 of 116 shots for a .974
save percentage during the unbeaten streak.

The teams have met just once this season ? that was on Dec. 21, a 3-1 Stars? victory.
Defenseman Richard Matvichuk scored twice and Turco made 26 saves.

Lorne?s Thoughts:
On the team?s recent play:
?We?ve been playing with a lot of poise, particularly in our own end. We?re getting a
total team effort and great goaltending.

?We?ve added some positive people to the lockerroom as well. Guys like Galley, Terreri
and Webb, their attitudes rub off on everyone else. It brings some people out of their shells.

?What?s great is that the guys are doing a lot of team things. They?re going out
together, doing little things to bring them closer and having a lot of fun. It certainly has been transcending onto the ice.?

On being in attendance for Dallas? 8-0 romp over Anaheim:
?It?s never fun to be on the wrong side of a game like that. You want to get out of
there in a hurry.?

On defensing Hull and Modano:
?I?ve seen Brett a lot over the years. He?s a great player. Modano knows how to get him
the puck and Brett?s got such a great release.

?We certainly have to key on their line, a lot like what we did with [Keith] Tkachuk the
other night. We have to take away Hull?s shooting room. Somehow, he always finds a
way to get open. We have to eliminate that.?

On Dallas? overall game:
?They are a very deep team beyond the two big guys. They?ll grind you down.

?We have to stay out of the box and win the special teams battle. There?s a reason why
everywhere Sergei Zubov has played, that team?s power play is one of the league?s
best. He?s a great quarterback. Plus, they have Sydor, who complements Zubov well.?

From the Lockerroom:

Mariusz Czerkawski

On playing Dallas:
?It?s going to be a tough game, obviously. We have to be ready to have the same
approach we had in St. Louis. We have to be ready from the start to play 60 minutes ?
or 61 like we did against the Blues.?

On linemate Oleg Kvasha:
?It?s all up to Oleg how far he?s going to go in this game. He has great skills, a long
reach and very good size. He has good hands and makes plays. He just needs to find
the confidence to play every day and work hard each night.?

Zdeno Chara

On Brett Hull:
?He gets rid of the puck quicker than anyone. He?s a great shooter and we?ll be keying
on him tonight. He?s so dangerous when he gets room and takes that one-timer of his.
We?ll definitely be keying on him tonight.?

On the approach to tonight?s game:
?It?s not going to be much different than St. Louis. We have to contain Hull and
Modano, but we also have to be sound in our own end. We haven?t been taking a lot of
bad penalties lately, either. So we want to keep doing that.

?We haven?t been turning-over the puck. Our possession has been great, especially with
our forwards at the other team?s blueline. They get the puck deep and work it out. If
you give up the puck at the other team?s blueline, they?ll come down on you full-speed.?

Roman Hamrlik

On the team?s demeanor:
?There?s some fun in the room right now. We?re trying to build some momentum for next
season. Good things are happening again. I wish we could have kept the good run earlier
in the season going. But we had some bad spells that we?ll learn from.

?We?re playing and acting like a team right now and we?ll be looking to keep that going
through the end of the season.?

Notes:

LW Brad Isbister skated by himself prior to the team taking its morning skate. However,
he is still out of the lineup?

On the mend: Isbister (knee), D Kevin Haller (sports hernia surgery) and C Mats
Lindgren (shoulder) are out. For Dallas, C Joe Nieuwendyk (groin) is skating, but is not
expected to play. D Gerald Diduck (ankle fracture) is out.

Wow -- Frogy -- great write-up -- where did you find that stuff?

I like the Stars here. NYI may think they're playing well, but they beat a St. Louis team that has been one of the worst in the league for over a month and a Pitt team that has gone 4-4-2 the last 10 against an absolutely horrible schedule of teams.

Dallas is 7-2-1 (36-15 in goals scored) the last 10 games, against teams that are a combined 27 games over .500. NYI are 3-6-1 the last 10 (outscored 20-33) against a very weak schedule (combined 52 games below .500).
