hey guys,

I read your replies under, "What are the..."

Since both of you think alike in focusing on teams in your locale, you may want to exchange emails and communicate that way.

I communicate with a couple of MJ handicappers via email and it sharpens the focus of games that we're interested in.....certainly eliminates a lot of distractions.

I am from Pittsburgh, and although I could focus on the Steelers, Panthers, Pirates, etc, my handicapping is more general in scope. I follow an ATS momentum trend and am more a "situational" handicapper than someone who follows team stats, etc.

I wouldn't be of much help in what you guys are trying to achieve. My handicapping homework is exhausting and all over the board. I've been doing it for years and I trust it. It would be difficult for me to change my methods now.

I still think a "fraternity" of handicappers who focus on their home teams is a great idea.

If others knew of what you two were trying to achieve, I think you might end up with a good group of handicappers.

buddy

That is a good idea, but I feel that is what this forum is about. I would also liike to help the board achieve that. When 4bubba set the Match-up forum up, it gave us the perfect opportunity to do it. I can give more insight on the Falcons and the Bengals than any other teams because I read their websites daily. I want to offer that info to everyone.

But, if anyone is interested in exchanging the emails, I am not against it.

Thanks again, buddy.

On the course!
Emails defeat the purpose of the board. I put things out here for everyone to see. They can dismiss it, worship it, or be somewhere in between.

I just put up an NBA thread about a point a friend noticed. I put it up to see if others had any frame of mind on the subject. That's the reason for Madjack's.

I highly doubt that there are only a handful of guys in here who follow certain teams. Everyone has a favorite team!

Posting up on the teams you follow is just one more facet of handicapping. I don't want some "secret handshake" fraternity between two guys doing emails back and forth.

You guys see the local news.....you see the interviews all week long.....you get a 'feel' for what's happening on those teams. Now, I certainly don't expect you to report in like you are beeing paid to do it! But, if something strikes you, please share it with the board. Even if it is just an opinion on your part.

I agree with yyz here. I don't think that happens too often does it, yyz?

I'm sorry guys.

Have to disagree with the "Favorite" team assumption.

Try living in Pittsburgh and getting a handle on Pitt or Penn State.

You would have been flat broke in Mid October.
