New Arizona Cardinals coach Dennis Green was on the NFL network today stating that Josh McCown is one of the top 5 athletes at his position in the whole league. What a bold statement. If that's the case, why was he so badly overlooked last year, and why was Jeff Blake brought in. I know you want to give the young guy some confidence, but this may be a bit of hot air.

So let me get this straight Dennis, your rankings must go a little something like this:

1. Michael Vick
2. Steve McNair
3. Peyton Manning
4. Donovan McNabb
5. Josh McCown

uhhh....ok.

-------------

Drew Henson's trade value seems to have dropped a bit after scouts from 4 teams watched him workout. Either they are just playing mind games so that when they do actually try to trade for him they don't have to give up as much. I believe he was slated to be a first round pick back in the day (when he chose baseball over NFL) but now teams are saying he's only worth a 3rd or 4th round pick.

-------------

Patrick Ramsey is getting a little frustrated with all this Mark Brunell talk and it appears that the Miami Dolphins have offered a first round pick (#20 overall) for the young QB. It is an intriguing move and Ramsey may be a fairly good fit for the Dolphins with his strong arm. He'd have a much better running game to play with and an improved offensive line in front of him which means he wouldn't be strung out like a piece of meat for a bunch of wolves.

if you.. ....maybe insert daunte culpepper where manning is, then, perhaps as far as athletes go at the QB position, then, MAYBE what green sez holds true..as far as athleticism goes...maybe. dont get me wrong; i think manning is a GREAT QB with a helluva mind and arm for the game--but as far as flat out athleticism, i could see givin the edge to mccown over manning, i guess.
