Notre Dame -14 over Army ****
Army +14 over ND **
I am so confused with this game . One thing is for sure The loser is not making the College Football playoffs. Army is 9-0 and has the best QB in their history Bryson Dailey . He runs like a fullback and is a great thrower. ND stopped Navy last week and there option. But Army is different then Navy. I think Army's game has better ball control They will go for 4th and 1 and just wear you down with their attack , Meanwhile ND defense is outstanding. They stopped Navy's triple option who I think led the nation in rushing. They have the size to dominate. But when you run option the O-linemen attack not pass block so that neutralizes the size of the players. My heart says Army. 14 points is a lot of points esp when you only get a few possessions . Army plays the clock and doesn't give the other teams many possessions. Both schools have played easy schedules but ND has some offensive players that can score .Army D vs who they played have been outstanding. But they are stepping up in class vs a ND team that has a few blue chippers. The game is at Yankee Stadium in the Bronx Army will have a big crowd but many, many Catholics will be cheering on the Irish and many parishes in the metropolitan area have been given a few tickets to sell to make money raffling off tickets to the game for their church. No way is Army looking ahead to Navy . This is the big game for them and a super bowl . Also who does St Peter give the advantage too.
Hate betting against Army since I'm riding the bus or train with them But ND is a different creature.
It should be a game that I just sit back and watch but I can't.. My final decision The Catholic boys with the gold helmets shut down Bryson and win by more then 2 TD;s Only 1 * on the game , Small small play.. lean towards to Irish But if Army controls the ground game and clock and Bryson fakes a run and accurately hits his wr with a pin point pass I will be sitting saying " I knew this could happen ".
