Does anyone else think the line on this game smells like CMU vs. Duke? Zona is extremely lucky just to have won against the zags and now they're favored by 8.5 points against a good N.D. team that upset Illini? I think the squares will heavily be on ND. I'm liking Zona right now and will wait until later this week cause i think the line will drop.

Guys, I read and respect your analysis, but why do some continue to think a particular line dictates which team will cover? How many times have we been burned by reading too much into a line and betting the game a certain way to avoid a "trap" -- which IMO is a superstitious, over-analyzed, paranoid concept fabricated by gamblers who've lost a lot more than they've won.

I don't know how you bet this game. 3's go in, Irish cover, they don't, no cover.

The volatile nature of ND's shooting makes this game uncappable to me.

Go Irish, Beat Zona!!!!

walley,

walley,

you're right. Many here including myself have lost looking too much into a line to avoid a "trap". But IMO, march madness tourney games is when a shit load of public money starts to drop in the books. Therefore, I think the books DO set certain lines in such situations in order to lure the public. Didn't many of us lose the another night on CMU that way? Some said giving 10+ points to CMU is too much; and some said Duke will cover, b/c after all, this is Duke! Well, in this case, this is Zona after all! But i have been wrong before and would like to hear others' comments.

I have to agree with Bobby..It's a roll of the dice if ND shoots lights out then they are right there...if they are throwing up bricks they could very easily get blow'n out....8 pts looks awful inviting but if zona plays up to there talent level it could get ugly....
best of luck whatever you play

before the CMU/Duke game, many were saying if CMU's outside shooting is on, then they'll stay within...if Kaman's on, then they'll stay within....if CMU controls their TO's then they'll stay within...Too many if's! I happen to think that the linesmakers know a hell of a lot more info than many out there and in these tourney games that draws a lot of the public out of the woods, the square money will be on the team with the momentum. And that team is N.D. C'mon, Zona is freakin lucky just to be in sweet 16 and they're gonna lay 8.5 points to ND who were shooting lights out to upset Illini? I think it's either Zona or stay off and enjoy the game. Just my two cents men.

I agree with bobbyblue. Too much depends on ND, will it be Jeckyl or Hyde? I must make a decision for a contest I'm in and I'll probably take ND +8 for that.
