Villanova -2 over Johnnies ****
jumped on this last night because I knew this line would go up...Nova has won 6 str and if they win it would be 13 of last 14...besides their scoring and offense they play out standing defense...game is at MSG which I think gives a small advantage to the Cats ..if they played at Alumni Hall on the Johnnies campus then Johnnies get the advantage ..Nova fans will come out to cheer there team on I like Gillispie and co..Nova has more depth and there team shoots 44% FG.. Johnnies had lost a few in a row but just beat De P for the 2nd time..Bey and Earl are 6'8 and 6'9.. Samuel who avgs 11 pts and can rebound is questionable tonite..but Nova can replace him with there depth
Figueroa the Johnnies top scorer has the best form of any jump shooter in the country..clinic shot..Heron is tough in his 2nd yr from Auburn Dunn who just became eligible is avg 13 pts a game..Nova has won 8 of last 10 but with Anderson as a new coach he has elevated the Johnnies game.. it still comes down to defense and Nova is much better and see them slowing down the Johnnies offense.. don't see Johnnies defense slowing down the Cats ..this line is now -3.5 so maybe Samuels is playing...strong play
Smoo +5 over Cinncy **
Played this last nite also but the line is now +6.5 ..so I get an advantage playing Nova early but lose a pt or 2 in this game..Smoo coming off a nice rd win vs Memphis.. this team has some talent even though the entire starting 5 are all transfers and 1st yr players at Smoo..but they have probably one of the best pt gds in the country in Davis.. he avg 16 pts and after seeing Smoo down by 11 vs Memphis with 6 minutes to play they scored 15 in a row to win by 4...this is one talented team... and if they can get a rd win vs Cinncy the bubble will look clearer.. meanwhile Cinncy has Cumberland ..unreal talent that can shoot NBA 3's and penetrate and pass...Smoo has a much better offense then Temple and Cinncy beat them 89-82..so if Cinncy gave up 82 pts to the Owls think the Mustangs couls score that too...Cinncy has the big kid Voit at the post and Williams on the wing...but think Smoo will score enough to keep this close..but someone has to stop Cumberland

Zips on fire ..one of the best defensive teams last yr in the nation now have some offense to back them up..they play dual pt gds in Jackson and Cheeze...Jackson was just named the POY of the MAC this week,,.. Zips have two 5th yr seniors and 3-4 four yr players experienced and older...Banks is another wing that can score and shoot.. Bulls lost CJ,Perkins and Harris...they still have Graves but think Zips have been beaten by these Bulls for a long time.. Home game and revenge sends the Bulls packing ..

thank you Lord .....did see the ending of the UNLV-San Diego St game..wow that hurt when someone hoists a 3 pt meaning less shot and it goes in at the buzzer...love it when I didn't watch the game and someone posts here describes how you lost the cover..It hurts in the pocket the same but seeing it just kills you..
So sad about Kobe..so hard to believe ...I remember my father saying he was so impressed with the way he speaks Italian with no dialect..not about his basketball prowess.
and think it kinda was lost in the back pages but Morgan Wooten passed away at 80.. the greatest HS basketball coach ever.. at DeMatha HS..got to see his 8 hour clinic in Atlantic City..it was at the new Atlantic City HS on friday nite and saturday afternoon...when ever there was a Basketball clinic in AC everyone would show up Friday nite and skip saturday to gamble in the casino..but on Saturday the gym was packed and Jay Wright of Nova introduced him... I used one drill that I learned from him...everyday for the rest of my career..
