Nova -1.5 over Penn
Penn had field day over Temple hitting 15 tre's.But thats vs a matchup zone that doesn't matchup anymore.Nova defense will not give Penn those looks.Penn defense is outstanding.But Nova has to many weapons.Esp. in the paint.That is where they lose this game.Frazier and Wright inside cause matchup problems.Penn defense cannot collaspe because Wright has some shooters.A close game but Onyekwe and co will have to contend with Jason on defense.Nova controls the boards and therefore the game.
UConn -14.5 over Mass
Mass is hurting.They have no offensive weapons.Rodgers is ther leading scorer at 11 pts a game.They have no one that can create something on offense.And ther edefense is somewhat suspect. Both Mass gds dribble with there heads down.Conn is loaded.Gordon is explosive.Brown and Robinson are top gds.Okafar is a force inside.See Calhoun's defense and rebounding just getting by the line.
Cuse -17.5 over NC- Greenboro
Cuse defense is terrible.They have trouble stopping Cornell and Colgate.Boe has been on their case.Cuse offense is loaded led by Carmelo.Duany,Warrick and super frosh McNamara are offensive threats.NC-Gr does have some talent.McCaffrey does know the Cuse well.He has some scoring gds but I think its wake up time in the Dome.
TCU +1.5 over North Texas
What can I say.These are my numbers I came up with.NT won lyr at TCU.They return 4 starters from that team.Team is even in FT%,TO's,etc.
NT knocked off Weber st and Woffard to win there 1st tourney since I left NT.Jones is a good coach.Tubbs is gone and so now TCU actually runs plays.Dougherty from Kansas plays that KU uptempo with transition offense.TCU has 2 outstanding gds in Santee and Blount.Frontline with bingo and Brown isn't bad. NT has Hopkins who is playing great.All Amer. Davis is in a big time slump.His shot is off.But almost everyone isn't letting him get good looks.Davis cannot create his shot off the dribble.He needs to be set up.Well everyone is in his face.In the tourney wins he shot 2-14 and 5-15.Lyr TCU's Brown had a career nite vs NT with 33 pts and 26 bds.No way he gets that.
One common oppenent was TCU.Both played at Smoo.NT lost by 13 and TCU lost by 3 in OT.
game is at the Super Pit in denton.Expect big crowd because TCU hasen't been there since 1987.But Pit stands are way back so visiting teams aren't intimadated like they should.
Was wrong on Weber st game.But am going with TCU tonite
Fairfield +8 over Marist
small play but just maybe the Stags can play well on the road.Marist has to be tired from the Ga tech game.There depth is a problem too.Just maybe the Stags can keep it close and only lose by 4 or 5.
