How is the 3 way regulation bet different than laying a half goal?

I understand that with the three way you can bet there will be a draw, otherwise I don't see the difference.

Doesn't either team you bet on have to win in regulation to win your bet.

in 3 way if its a tie heading into overtime, only regulation counts...so if the team you took was tied it would be result in draw on the moneyline.

if laying a 1/2 goal...overtime and shootouts count.

Unless you are betting the regulation line which of course the plus half wins and minus half loses if game goes to OT.
