NRL Finals Week 1

Hi Guys,

At this stage just the one play for me this weekend on the NRL:

Roosters +6.5 vs Newcastle @ DAS

I expect this to be a tight game so Roosters +6.5 looks a strong bet (only +5.5 at most other books). They have regained form in recent weeks and are starting to look like a premiership contender again. They defeated Newcastle 18-8 at Marathon Stadium in Round 15 and are quite capable of repeating that performance.

I was chatting to Anders during the week and I get the feeling he liked this play as well.

Well it sure is quiet in here without Anders, I do hope he makes the odd appearance in here over the finals!
My play for tonights game is Sharks-2.5 to beat the Broncos.I am hoping that Adam Dykes will be playing for the Sharks as his kicking game will be missed if he is unfit.However with or without Dykes I do expect the Sharks to take this one out.

Passed a fitness test early this morning and will start. Good news for ya Turtle and good luck

You may remember I played the Broncos to win the premiership a number of rounds back after a couple of losses and the odd injury when they "blew out" to 5s in the market. A string of losses and injuries later and you could get 'em at 10s - so much for my initiative

So I guess I'd be happy if the Broncos won but ya gotta like the home team's chances.

And yeah, do like the Roosters a lot, especially at +6.5 - a key number, as Nolan would say
