Game One) Newcastle Knights v Sharks, EnergyAus Stadium
Knights -10/12.5

I don't think the Sharks are getting enough credit here. They are 2-3 ATS but 4-1 SU and really should have beaten the wounded Broncos SU on the road. The players have adjusted pretty well to Chris Anderson's style of play and Brett Kimmorley is the key to that game offensively.
The Knights have been the undoubted star team to date, but there were signs last Fri v the decimated Roosters that not everything will turn to gold all season long. They were fortunate to cover that nite and did so thanks to some Joey Johns late magic when the Roosters reserve-graders were nearly out on their feet.
The furore surrounding Preston Campbell has taken a lot of attraction away from the rest of the well-balanced Sharks side. They nearly paid the price for switching off twice against a Tigers side which never gives up last weekend but have enough gamebreakers and solid tacklers to keep within the good starting margin they get to cover tonight.

Game Two) Melbourne Storm v St George Illawarra Dragons, Olympic Pk
Storm -1.5/2.5

The Storm weren't good enough to halt the Bulldogs last weekend but will fancy their chances of matching up against the Dragons at home this time. With Matt Orford, Robbie Ross and Rodney Howe due back soon, some of the Storm's fringe players are playing for their spots. Don't expect anything flash from the Storm but Kearns, Kearney, Williams and Perenara should fancy their chances of getting on top of a notably weakened Dragons pack. Timmins adds steel to the visitors backline but Gasnier's stepping is missed while Blacklock has been quiet so far. Bai, Geyer and Moule are sharp finishes and should get the opportunities to aid a Storm cover.
Given both sides defensive capabilities, I'm surprised this total is higher than those games involving the likes of the Eagles and Souths so I'll play the under also.

PLAY STORM -1.5
PLAY UNDER 49.5

Game Three) Bulldogs v Warriors, Wellington
Pk 'em

No play for me, should be a cracker.

Game Four) Eagles v Raiders, NorthPower Stadium
Eagles +5.5

Another no play. Eagles were a rabble last weekend but may be a different proposition at home and some of their replacements for the injured/suspended players could be considered better quality. Raiders are only a fraction above average at their best and while that should be enough I'll hang off backing them as visitors against a side seeking to bounce back.

Will cover the final three games tomorrow.

Just one more play for the weekend...

Game Seven) Souths v Eels, Aus Stadium
Eels -15.5

Will give the Eels one last shot to cover for me!
They ran into a fired up Dragons side last weekend but Brian Smith must still be disappointed in their efforts to recapture last year's magic. They grow much stronger for this match despite the absence of Jamie Lyons and Jason Moodie with the return of the likes of skipper Nathan Cayless and hooker Brad Drew.
Souths will be determined to make amends for their pathetic effort against the Cowboys and have the edge in home crowd support and Jason Death back at hooker.
But the Eels have a huge edge in class, pace and game-breaking ability and must soon put their foot down against such sides.
