My Prediction would be for Wollongong as they beat South Melbourne 2-1 in both the home and away legs of the major semi final. Grand Final experience is not a factor as Wollongong won in 2000 coming from 3-0 down to win on penalties and South Meblbourne won in 1999 3-2. The price for a Wollongong win is around $2.30 and this a good price.

This match won't be as easy for Wollongong for two reasons.

1. Even though they earned the right for a home final, the game is on neutral territory in Sydney. Not a major concern since they beat South at South, but worth thinking about.

2. Scott Chipperfield is THE man in this team and he is in Korea with the Confederations Cup squad. He scores a large chunk of their goals and creates a lot of their play.

The 'Gong should have enough depth to prevail, but I reckon it might be level after 90 minutes. Draw prices in the NSL are very high compared to other leagues, and I think it's worth a bite at 3.80.

Result of NSL Grand Final:

Wollongong 2 South Melbourne 1

Yes, I picked the correct score but stupid me only collected on the Wollongong win at 2.45/+145. The 2-1 Wollongong scoreline was paying 9.00/+800. Oh well maybe next year.

A winner's a winner, Beastie; all that matters.
Picking the score will kill your profit margin big-time; fun for a $10 punt occasionally while watching with a drink or five

Nice work on the 'gong win
