NYC Hoops Guru - Thurs Night Soph Slump?

After a successful opening night, I will try to follow it up with a Thursday night success. You're only as good as your last game!

In addition to claiming to be a "guru" of NYC hoops, b/c of my location, I am also hip on the MAAC hoop scene as well. After a short stint on the Canisius College Basketball Team, Men's that is I have become very familiar with the league. I see some very appetizing plays tonight here they are GL.....

Not sure....this is a game the Griffs need...not sold on Rider....they beat Iona twice, Manhattan earlier in the year and a Marist team that is down this year....tough road trip as well...I think they will be looking forward to Saturday's matchup with the purple chickens....and overlooking the Griffs...

Second night not great in the red 1-2-1....Niagara beat outright....Siena almost covered in OT....the Griffs won outright....

I was at the UConn game to see the final seconds....UConn up 14 with 36 secs left and ball but a 7 sec diff b/t game clock and shot clock...Dyson tries to shoot an NBA 3 and gets blocked TO shot clock violation...Johnnies ball 6.6 secs left inbound goes to point guard who looks like he is going to jack insteads goes to the bucket and dunks it UConn wins by 12....push...sorry for those who had it at 12 1/2

Not a good game for CT....18 turnovers (6 by AJP)
Team still plays in spurts and makes a lot of dumb mistakes. Should have had the W...off great efforts by Kemba and JA. If I had to play it again I'd double up at -12.

You're right....team does play in spurts....they did not impress me last night for the 4th ranked team in the nation....UConn has been missing the Ray Allen's, Rip Hamilton's, Donyell Marshall's, & Ben Gordon's of the worlds....the stars...they havent had one of these uys in a while.....they have good players, great athletes no star! The same can be said for Duke! Hurley, Laetner, Hill, Brand, Williams, Battier....no star!

A couple of blocks from Shoshone Park is the Lake Effect Diner. (Maybe it isn't even there anymore)
I was going to school in Binghamton and my friends were at UB. We'd come up to play ball there and it always ended at the Lake Effect.
