This seems like one of those classic situations of "we gotta tighten up the D in the second half" lockeroom talks.

Waiting to see if the polyesters will drive up the number.

Seen enough Laker home games over the past few years to realize that after the 1H goes way over, Laker "D" steps up in 2H and the total lands comfortably under.

2H UNDER 97.5 (wwts)

GL team:)

Not to be contrary but...

Not to be contrary but...

Went with Lakers by 9 1/2 and Over 96.5.

I can't see the Knicks keeping up a 60% shooting percentage, I can see the Lakes hanging around with 51%.

Lakers are the deeper team should fouls begin to make a difference.

Gregory,

So you're the contrarion. The outcome of the 2H plays will be determined in large part by how the Knicks come out and play. If it is a highly competitive game, then of course they'll probably cover the +9.5, and the total could land under, or even over with some late fouling.

On the other hand, I've seen some Laker home games when L.A. does cover the side yet the total ends up under, due to the fact that the Lakers come out hot in the 3rd quarter, play great defense, and the opponent pretty much gives up so that in the 4Q halfcourt pretty much is played by the Lakers.

Oh well, we'll see. GL anyways
