Oakland +3? @ Indianapolis 53

Oakland made this trip last year and got absolutely blind-sided. Peyton Manning came out with guns blazing in a totally unexpected no-huddle offense, completing 14 of his first 15 passes for 137 yards and two touchdowns while staking the Colts to a 21-0 lead. When the smoke finally cleared Oakland had battled to make the score 24-7. Then the Raiders put up 31 straight points on Indy?s sorry-ass defense, winning the game by a final of 38-31.

I love this game. I love the smell of it, the look of it, the taste of it. I love the black hats vs. the white hats of it. I love the Sunday night scheduling of it too. It?s the classic clash involving the contender and the pretender. And the pretender is giving the points! Apparently, Oakland don?t dig bein? dissed by the line, neither, because they?ve copped the cash 7 straight times as an underdog of more than 3.

The reports I?ve read concerning the pasting Indy received from the Pats last time out say that there was nothing fluky about NE?s 44-13 win. The Pat?s defense got rough and seemed to intimidate the vaunted offense of the Ponies. Hmmm, I wonder if Oakland?ll play rough and try to be as menacing as New England was. Ya know somethin?? The more I think about it, the more I?m seriously considerin? takin? out another mortgage. Did I mention that I love this game? RAIDERS +3?

Raiders are 12-3 ATS last 15 vs. team with winning record.
Oakland has won the last two meetings both SU & ATS.
(Inc. preseason)IND's seven games this year played Over.
Colts are 4-10 ATS last 14 as home favorite of 3.5 - 6.5.
IND is 5-1 ATS in last six that total is more than 48.

Oak is 3-0 ATS last three. Indy is 5-0 ATS in games before they play New England. What does this all point too, I don't quite know. But what I do know is that I coached an 11th grade girls powderpuff football squad and The Colts "D" couldn't stop a bunch of chicks on the rag. Taking Oak +3' huge simply due to the fact that it will win. And what the hell, taking Oak on the ML as well as OAK rolls to a 42-20 victory. Oops, I guess I have to play OVER 53 too. Ya heard it here

If Oak covers and I think they will. Then a look at over might be good idea. Indy can put up 28.

in my opinion, colts run away with this one. whats gonna kill the raiders is the fact they haven't played anyone good in 3 weeks.

watch out raider backers you may get burnt tonight. when the spotlight of only one game is on the dome, and everybody is watching, the colts 99% of the time deliver a crushing victory to the national audience. something about prime time t.v. at home gets this team jacked. it could be jack trudeau, mark hermon, mike pagel, gary hogeboom, art schlister, jeff george hell even phyllis george qbing and they just seem to score, score, score. (spelling maybe off on some names).

i like the colts but will pass here and take the over. i see indy with 31-38 by themselves. i maybe wrong but lived here long enough to know this team and when they are on national t.v. this place is one of the loudest in the land.

riddler that loss to the pats should have shocked really no one. if you have followed football since the colts moved to indy, or should i say mayflowered to indy. the colts have always struggled in foxboro, embarrassing yes but shocking not really. never judge a team by thier last performance. colts o and d bounce back in a big way tonight.

Sure, they may have struggled previosly in Foxboro, but they never had their asses reamed like that with old balding Peyton manning at the helm. Indy is a finesse team and Oakland is a hard nose kick ass team. Good luck in your play but I am not going on your Mayflower tonight, I am hopping on my Formula One racer and blowing by the colts at about 210 MPH

I just wanted everybody to know that ATS has Indianapolis an they havent picked a game right all weekend. I'm not playing the game but if I did I would have to go against ATS.

G Money: You can also look at it from another angle. ATS is overdue for a win! The chances of going winless is the same as sweeping (5% success). I like Oak tonight but in a teaser w/the UNDER. GLA

The total of 53 is about the highest I can remember in a long time for a game that didn't involve the Rams. I have to think the Oakland defense is good enough to at least slow down the Colts.
