not a pretty day yesterday. the two dogs i had hoping for a split at least, detroit and toronto, went under. still, i won't change a style that works and will keep looking for overpriced games.
hudson vs. durbin
hudson is without question an excellent pitcher who has been fairly steady throughout the season, sporting a cool 3 era.
his last 4 games show an excellent 1.5 era as well.
so why even look at this game?
durbin has been an up and down pitcher this season, carrying a 4.50 era, but....the best two games this season have been his last two, improving hudson's era by 1.5, meaning he has not allowed a run in his last 16 innings, and going a full eight each time.
to boot, kc is also at home. no hesitation whatsover in getting my money's worth on this one.
