.........................................................

that is so childish of you once again

Obama has been a whirlwind in the last two months.

Kept us safe from terrorists in US

Has not taken any vacations yet , when by this time Bush had taken 45 days off.

Turning around economy slow but sure.

Turning Americas attitude toward recovery

Kicking GMS ass

Kicking the banks ass

Being a statesman instead of a warmonger

Other countrys like him. They are giving him a chance to make changes that Bush implemented like a scoundral

what more can you ask

Well, I for one will go on the record and say this pisses me off. I was probably the most outspoken critic of our rights being violated (which I still think this is what is important) during the Bush administration, and Obama's support of this is wrong, IMO.

These two paragraphs from the article are the sticky wickets for me:

Like the earlier suit, the September case relies on a former AT&T technician's declaration that he saw equipment installed at the company's San Francisco office to allow NSA agents to copy all incoming e-mails. The plaintiffs' lawyers say the declaration, and public statements by government officials, revealed a "dragnet" surveillance program that indiscriminately scooped up messages and customer records.

Individual customers cannot show their messages were intercepted, and thus have no right to sue, because all such information is secret, government lawyers said. They also said disclosure of whether AT&T took part in the program would tell the nation's enemies "which channels of communication may or may not be secure."

Everything being monitored - and individuals cannot prove their messages were intercepted. That's a load of crap, IMO, and for all you gun activists, and personal rights believers, this still stands out to me as extremely important and worrisome to me. I thought it was wrong for Bush to do it - and I think it's wrong for Obama to defend it.

If u remember about six months ago i laid into Obama for voting for this garbage when he wasn't the president. I even recall that u jumped in the thread which i think i started. So if u think this surprises me u are wrong. Hopefully Obama uses it just like Bush did and wiretap people like Hannity and Limbaugh. Unfortunately he won't be this scummy which hurts the Dems.

Again you see Weasel can't grasp that we are not going to like everything the Obama does or says. As long as we keep looking at the iissues instead of the party we will be ok. I wonder how weasey feels about the Dems in charge of the taps?:scared

Stevie i don't think he will mind. He doesn't realize that shady people with shady tools might just abuse them for a shady agenda. Hopefully, Obama will abuse this just like Cheney did when he tapped reporters emails and phone lines. they ever get anything with this or was Cheney to busy spying on Americans that lean left or question his dark agenda?

look..this isn`t the first time i`m agreeing with obama....i actually agreed with him on the swing set,the dog, and the organic garden controversies.....:yup

my problems with bock are pretty minimal, when you get right down to it...this little socialism thing for instance...

nationalizing the banks? socialism...

starting to nationalize the auto industry? socialism....

socialized medicine/nationalized health care? socialism....

leftist philosophical opinions? socialism....

increasing government spending to massive proportions? socialism....

increasing the number of departments and employees in the federal government? socialism...

raising taxes at a precitpitous rate? socialism...

and btw...

apologetic backpedaling international diplomacy? shameless pandering...

gutting the military? jackassery....

other than that,i`m down wit` da` struggle:toast:

I think Obama is being to kind. Congress should follow the rules and protect us as they should. So be it if Bush or Cheney take a big hit for straying from there duty. The laws are there to protect us. Funny how so many are willing to look the other way about this. But need there guns to protect them from government.

Wease another reason for you to come visit SF. The ominous AT&T building that has the equiptment that "keeps us safe" is just a short two blocks from my office.

Great place to take your picture and show how much you support the wiretapping :)

I was watching a show recently about UFOs on The History Channel and the NSA came up because they were originally created to intercept all foreign communications which, at the time, included possible alien transmissions.
They went on to say that although the NSA has long since abandoned attempts to receive signals from space, they have remained hard at work intercepting "billions of communications each year". They didn't specify from whom but it's a sure bet that they ain't all coming from overseas.
My point is, I think we can all agree, that this $hit has been going on since looooooong before Bush and will continue loooooooong after Obama.
This argument isn't about who's IN the Whitehouse...it's about the Whitehouse.
