this administration soft on terror?.....:nooo: ..i`m sure terrorists around the world are high fiving and laughing at our weakness...

"al-nashiri was told however, in no uncertain terms ,that acting like this in the future would be severely frowned upon"........

god help us....

shocked he didn`t give him a cabinet post...

.............................................................

a sheep in wolf clothing.

They let him go and then follow his ass.

He goes running right back to Bin Laden and they order a drone.

what a wonderful day that would be.

Too bad 8 yrs of war and constant looking couldnt find him . are you smarter than a fifth grader ?

yeh but if we cant prove charges and its been this long, we need to let them go and find those responsible.

Like good old Bin Laden laughing in the mountains somewhere. If Bush hadnt gone into Iraq , then maybe we would have Bin laden. But no.

Pentagon spokesman Geoff Morrell said Crawford withdrew the charges against al-Nashiri. However, new charges can be brought again later, and al-Nashiri will remain in prison for the time being
...................................................................

I guess you missed this part.

Geez Louise you do this so many times.

you make it sound so much worse than it is. And then when statements are made like , oh they are not free to go, they are still in jail.

i guess i`ll have to explain it to you,scott...

whew!...

he was in the middle of a military tribunal....meaning that evidence could be brought forth without divulging military secrets and giving this guy habeas corpus...

this little gem(who was also believed to be involved in the first wtc bombing)will be moved to the u.s. and tried in a civil court...

and he,like many others may well go free because of rules of evidence that involve national security and concerns of them being exposed....

that is why military tribunals in gitmo were the answer.....

when he is released then lets talk. He is going to be tried. He could get the death penalty for all you know.

why do you worry about things until they actually happen.

damn, maybe dtb is easier to get to agree on things

By Terry Frieden
CNN Justice Producer

WASHINGTON (CNN) -- In a sharp departure from Bush Administration policy, the Obama Justice Department on Friday informed the Supreme Court it is dismissing a challenge on rules dealing with allowable mercury emissions from power plants.

The end result is that the Environmental Protection Agency "has decided consistent with the court of appeals' ruling to develop appropriate standards to regulate power plant emissions," the filing said.

The EPA had set up new rules under which it would drop some power plants as the sources of mercury emissions, loosening more rigorous controls set during the Clinton administration. The appeals court had essentially struck down that new regime, and the Bush administration had appealed.

The decision to withdraw the case leaves the older, more stringent rules in place.

Another Bush rule bites the dust /

this is not only a slap in the face of those families and their dead children...it`s a slap in the face of our military...

the left`s main argument against the gwb-era policy is that these guys were not getting their day in court.....

well,he was having his day in court...now obama is delaying his day in court... why?...so we can try them in a u.s. circuit court?...

he`s placing the conviction of one of the really bad-assed terrorist leaders in dire jeopardy....

why?...so a failed europe will like us?..maybe the terrorists will quit trying to kill us?..so code pink will be appeased?...

he`d better start thinking about THIS country...

i'm gonna go out on a limb here, and predict that this won't stop the jihad.....

I am sure you are right, but an endless occupation of Iraq should do the trick.

Saddest part is the farther up the terrorist can go in this admins of defences for terrorist-the better--even if convicted they still have "HOPE"-- With ultimate goal being the attorney general Holder who co-conspired with Clinton to pardon 16 terrorist who were guilty of over 120 bomb attacks inside U.S. (aryes had to smiling)

This site "had" quite interesting video--but if you'll click on it you note it says--
"This video has been removed due to terms of use violation."
Must be something to do with "transparency factor" :)
