I just heard on ESPN that they will take the Barry Bonds 73rd homerun incident to court on Oct 7th, exactly one year from the date that ball was hit out. This guy named Hayashi and this other guy is fighting over the rights to Barry BOnds record homer. As u know, one guy says he grabbed the ball while everyone was going for it, and in the squirmish, the guy claimed Hayashi got it loose from his hands and took the ball. That's what I heard, anyways......

Now, if you were the one deciding who gets it, who would you give it too.

NEITHER ONE OF THEM :nono:

I would make an example of the whole damn thing and send it to the MLB Hall of Fame for good :thefinger

That would show both of them and everyone else what happens when you be an :moon: and fight over something like that like a little kid.:director:

I am sick of this bullcrap

i would have to look at football for this one.very simple whoever comes out of the pile it is his. he did not purchase the ball it was not his to begin with so whoever ends up with it thats it. i think he needs to go to the gym or learn how to poke people in the eyes or pull their cheeks away from the supposed thiefs face but quit crying because you were not man enough to hold onto the ball.

Bean counter,
I know what u mean, whoever gets possession of it should be the one to keep it, but the question I'm still wondering is that did the guy get possession of the ball, before it was taken from him. For instance, if they all were in the pile and they guy grabbed it, but they all were still piled up and fighting for it, then whoever comes out of the pile with the ball should keep it, but I think it goes to far after the guy comes out of the pile with the ball and has it in his possession, and then the Hayashi guy comes along and surprise attacks him and snatches it away. I wonder if this will become a race issue, that they don't want a Japanese guy retaining one of America's most treasured baseball memory.

Geno,
If you were one of the guys in this case, would you still be thinking that way?? ;)

I would never be in that position I don't go to the games! I am always home betting on them :thefinger

Maybe the best idea is to cut the damn ball in half, mount both halves on two plaques and present both of them with a half of a ball, that is the best answer wish I would have thought of that earlier! Just like the baby in the bible.

:director: MY FINAL ANSWER HALF A BALL TO EACH. no attorney fees no taxpayer $$$ to decide the issue just split it!:p

Bonds has been called a jerk that would be justice to him also.

gotta agree with GENO on this one...... *mommy* speaking here...... IF YOUR'E GONNA FIGHT OVER IT....NEITHER OF YOU GET IT!!!!!!!!!! LOL

granted, a bit different in the matter of *value* between that and my kids' toys, (but not much, LMAO) ..... just pay them both off equal amounts of money (and not all that much, either) and teach them a lesson about playing like kids :D
