I really don't understand this line. I know they are on neutral courts now at MSG, but I should think Michigan should win with relative ease tonight. Any thoughts? I know ODU was a decent team, and did beat the Hofstra team everyone has claimed should have gotten into the Big Dance, but Michigan has played pretty well in this tournament thus far (I know at home). Just looking for some words of wisdome here.

I wondered the same thing. The thing that scares me, is ODU is playing for something big for their program and Mich is a terrible road team and that could be very flat. Mich has the better talent but who knows.

I agree the line is saying to me that ODis the play, but I just have to believe that the seniors on Michigan want to get it done. Horton and Abram deserve to go out on a winning note. The reason Mich went on that bad streak at the end b/c seniors Hunter and Abram were out. If they came back in time they would of been in the big dance. Now that they are only two wins away I would hope that the seniors would want to get a title, and leave on a good note. If Courtney Sims would be more assertive I would take them. Sometimes he doesnt do anything, and gets lost in the game. He needs to play more like Graham Brown, but he doesnt.

Anyone that likes ODU can you give me some insight also?

not really surprised by the line. figured one of the teams would be favored by a basket. the line could have been old dominion (-2) and i wouldnt have looked at that as an egregious error by the linesmaker. naturally, though, michigan will pull their share of the money so putting them as a short chalk makes the most sense. michigan has more athletes; old dominion is the more complete 'team'. still feel like old dominion is the best colonial team on paper, even though george mason is playing in the real final four.

Mich.'s NIT wins have been at home, while 2 0f 3 ODU's NIT wins were on the road. Maybe Mich.'s confidence level won't be as high at MSG, and playing on the road won't bother ODU. We'll see.

Yeah starting to look into the matchup and the recent play/wins, ODU seems like its starting to look better and better as the play. I have seen this type of line plenty of time to realize this is either ODU or no play...definitely asking for Michigan money IMO.

I agree.
88% on Michigan according to Sportsbook and
69% on Michigan according to *******

Yet the line moves from.... MICHIGAN -2.5 to OLD DOMINION -1

Yep exactly what I mean...I will most likely just be watching this one to learn from it, but it does make you wonder sometimes why the line moves opposite the money...its because either 1) vegas knows more than us and/or 2) there is sharp money coming in on the side opposite the majority. The third reason is that its just another sly perceptive attempt by the linesmaker.

I think that more people are betting on ODU than Mich and this is all hype...... Generally and almost always, I go AGAINST the public (which would be ODU), but something says the public is actually on ODU...... I am one of the few on this board and many other boards that is actually taking MICH..... Good luck on what you all decide.... and Happy Hooping.

Mich. handled business....... Way more than I thought.... Line did move to ODU -1 by tip off at my book and I went against the line movement..... Hopefully I changed a few minds tonight to go on Mich. I hope I helped..... Anyways happy hooping as always.....
