I thought I would start a thread here for people to post any info on any players of note to prep for both betting and fantasy purposes for the 2007 season. I know many of you follow players and events pretty closely, but it always amazes me how little info you can find quickly regarding players as you start the new season. Nobody has to use this or post, just thought it might be of value to some, especially as the new season starts off - which will be here before we know it.

I know that I found some pretty important stuff from time to time during December and January, injury notes, 2007 plans, etc. I know I would value anything anyone cares to post or link to.

I love these first rounds and how they kept fighting

Dicky Pride, $25,000 78p-69j-66j-70p-67j-74p-424
Paul Stankowski, $25,000 79p-66j-69j-67p-71j-67p-419

Glad Paul got back after all his medical problems. He would be on the Ticket's (Radio) Golf Show from time to time.

Remember Dickey Winning in Memphis and how Pumped he was.

Don't know answer to that WR

Have not done a thing during silly season for 1st time--don't know if its the book situation or what but was 1st time boredom has set in. Hopefully will resurrect with start of 08 but haven't even glanced at Mercedes yet.

In years past would use off season to copy year ending stats that would be erased at start of season but no need for that anymore with Stans tour stats going back 3-6 and 12 months--that coupled with corrected stats of same are prob my most viewed source during course of year--Thank you Stan.

Speaking of starting over and losing data at start of season--another fav stats will be useless till about 2 months into season--and that is pga players comparison--also would be nice if they had "corrected stats instead of standard stats as they can be misleading
"http://www.pgatour.com/players/comparison/149551

Will be interesting to see what happens on the book scene--while my outs were cut about a 3rd lost only one I really care about and that was Bet Fred--will find a way back in before the gals start back some how.

W.R. Got a little feedback from Euro forum for you-
++++++++++++++++++++++

Ian Poulter has divided his time between both Tours the last couple of years, with the majority of his golf played in Europe. Not in 2007. Poulter's main focus will be on the PGA Tour.

"I'm concentrating on the FedEx Cup next year," Poulter said. "That's going to be massive and I want in it. Not so much for the money as the world ranking points."

As a result, the flamboyant Englishman reckons he'll probably only play 12 events in Europe next season. That's a huge drop from 17 and 22 events, respectively, over the last two seasons. For example, he's skipping the European Tour's three-tournament Middle East swing at the start of the year.

"I'll be chasing FedExCup points at the start of the year, so I probably won't start until May at Wentworth (BMW Championship) and then I'll probably play late in the year after the FedExCup," he said.

Paul Casey was also seriously considering his European schedule in light of the FedEx Cup. Indeed, any European player with a PGA Tour card will be paying careful attention to his schedule next year.

Believe I have data base at office but currently at home--as rule of thumb most florida and hawaii courses--Hawaii has bermuda quite diff than anywhere with some of most severe grain you'll find.

Man, I'm sorry fellas. I start the thread and then disappear. Been very busy with football, writing fantasy columns, but now that's over, going to crack hard on golf. Will post anything I find. Good job sharing so far...
