I joined this forum during Baseball season, but Jim's my name and Tennis is my game. Man, I AM surprised that there isn't a Tennis forum around here :scared
I'm sure it would attract plenty of action come Grand Slamerooo time. Sure hope there'll be some tennis fans posting come U.S. Open time.

Today:
CHELA -210 vs. Arguello: In form seasoned player vs. newbie. Is it newbie? .. . or ex-boxer?? Whatever Arg. is - just check the records how these matches usually go. Odds are saying that Arguello is a sleeper. I'll take my chances and make this one a best play along with the next pick.

VAIDISOVA -320 vs. Hantucova: Spoiled brat is very good when things go her way. Think things will be going her way considering how she is playing these days. SOVA handled COVA easily at Sydney earlier this year and I think this one will be OVA early.

BLAKE -210 vs. Safin: Later is on the same SOUTHBOUND train ride as Roddick, Agassi, Serena. He WAS a really good one though. Blake is game, smart, and unlike his oponent - he keeps his cool out there.

I like favorites in tennis (can't ya tell) and think it's best to parlay them (only 2 or sometime 3 teamers). After doing that, I try to see about a possible doggie. USUALLY, there ain't one. Think there's a possible one today:

F. MAYER r @ +235 vs. Robredo: Tommy ain't so hot on hardcourts and looks like he may be little off his game. Mayer ain't nuthin to write home about, but he is a steadier player and has beaten better in the past. Small single play here.

Good luck.

Thanks Alb. So far so good.

Hope I ain't ruining things, but here's my bestest for the night time crew:

Tursunov @ -193 : Looks great at these generous odds. Only concern is that he doesn't go haywire out there.

Fish -325 : I know, tough odds to digest. Any dart throwers out there. Err... I mean BaseBall players. Adding this one to your basebawl pick should add icing to the cake. GO FISH!

Plays just keep on a cumin down the ole conveyer belt:

MARY PIERCE - 300: She's showing enough of her old self to warrant this play.

HINGUS - 420 - only to be used as a parlay stuffer. Don't know what Penetta is doing to win on hardcourts. She doesn't belong on them.

POSSIBLE upsetter tonight:

Take a GAMBLE on GAMBILL (+255) to beat the Tin Man. Take it easy on these SINGLE play doggies.
