should I join? I'm currently signed on with two. Is it best to join 8-9 so I'm sure I'm getting the best odds? If so which ones give the best incentives and which give the best lines?
The best idea would be to move to Vegas but that aint happening so some advice would be appreciated. Thanks

Scrubbo just my opinion on this. first of all money will be the key to how many and what you are looking for. second is controlling the urge to place wagers at all the books at the same time. one hit and kaboom. I currently am using 5 books. but use 3 with the most activity. There are many a times when juice can be saved but most are pretty quick to move numbers when they see others moving. last week i saved about 150.00 in juice on over, unders. 3 books had an under play at 9 -130 and and one had it at -110 so that was 20.00 saved per unit. which i lost the bet for 5 units saving $100.00. But you need to stay sharp on these numbers at all times and watch for the moves. There is value too this but there is also a disaster waiting to happen if you cannot control your urges. Once again this is what works for me, not for everyone. When i started, i started slowly with 2 books so i had the option for better lines. then build your bank and spread into various options.

Also i just did not put my $ in just any book. I did extensive research into the offshore industry and read about complaints especially non payment. So time was spent doing this not just adding a book for the hell of it. With the 5 I have I am very happy wih all of them. Customer service is great and payouts are quick. Also watch for the hidden charges that apply to payouts. And also the rules about payouts. Some only allow 1 free payout per month. Shop around and listen to what the veterans say. This is what suits me and me not be the best idea for everyone. Gl with what ever you decide to do.

It's not how many you have, but hte quality. Make sure you get books that offer diff lines and not cloning each other. Look for books that offer props, matchups that the others don't. Look for a variety in offerings. You would be surprised at how big a gap there is on some matchup lines between books in the non-major sports. I just saw a tennis match at -350 at one book and -220 at another, it pays to shop.

Scrubbo why dont you e-mail I.E. or M.J. for best books. I can recommend one but I won't say because they do not advertise here. But I am sure they will stir you in the proper direction.

I'm all for patronizing the books that are Mad Jack sponsors, but I also think we should share the good . . . and the bad . . . for the benefit of all.

I started doing business with www.OptionSports.com a few months ago because they have 5 cent baseball action. I have had no problems to report and enjoy the opportunity to play against that small of a line. I have been making money with them as well which makes me like them even more.

A very reputable book I have stopped playing with, but follow their numbers very closely is www.planetpinnacle.com or Pinnacle Sports which offers 8 cent action. Their numbers are unbeatable. . . at least for me. What I have started doing is checking their numbers when I am ready to make a play and if they have the best numbers I write down the play and book it myself. I have stopped turning in anything to them because if their number is better than everyone else it is probably a loser. Happened just last night. I liked the Houston Astros. Pinnacle had the price on the Astros three cents cheaper than anyone else. I saved myself over 400 dollars on that game by booking it myself (simply not playing it) instead of giving it to Pinnacle. They are a great place to do business, but hard as hell to beat.
www.Sportbet.com . . . is a sponsor here . . . and they are a great book for all sports and have ten cent baseball action up to -200. I do a lot of business with them.

Other than checking the Pinnacle Sports numbers I try to stick with books that are on Don Best's DBS2k so I don't have to go to each site to know the numbers.

If you are a serious enough player to spring for $500 a month for the Don Best Premium service you can get realtime numbers at over 20 books including not only the offshore giants, but Leroy's, Hilton, Stardust, Mirage, Horseshoe and others.

When football gets here and we get back to betting on spreads several of the books that sponsor this forum are very good. I like CRIS and you did good in signing up with them for football but, they will seldom be competitive in baseball with their twenty cent lines when 5 cent action is available . . . or Olympic either. I can't believe these excellent stores still deal baseball on a twenty cent line in today's competitive marketplace.

acesgold is a must....w/ their juice deals and high limits(phone).

wwts will move line w/ moneyline which can be very advantagous.

vipsports/gameday will hold off key numbers a little longer than others sometimes...plus gameday has juice free days during the week...

gibralter/infinity/milli...good offshore for teaser/parlay players.

cris will take your action...they have revamped their software and site/T-lines and i tend to think will load a little better at crunch time than last season....good early lines to buy into also.

wagerstreet will be a good book in case of inaccessabilty at crunch time if other books are having problems on sunday(which is the case every year w/ all books if you wait till last minute to get action in)....their software and site is set up very well for this judging by the last year.

i will also have to check w/ Bob on this but i think wagerstreet intends on having in-progress betting on NFL games also.

Haden at WSEX will vary lines also and have them up early..solid book also to the word.

I've been a customer of WWTS for over 4 years now without a hitch. Very user frindly (except when placing multiple straight bets), but lines are usually good. My Personal Favorite

I signed with Olympic last year to get early lines. They don't have very good baseball lines so I haven't used them much all summer, but I will come August-January.

Have used Sportingbet.com as long as WWTS (they were actually my first offshore)--(was Global Sports Connection), but over the past few years their format has changed alot and it is not as user friendly as the above 2 I use. Their lines are ALWAYS jacked usually a 1/2 point high on all Favs and are very quick to move their lines on a big move game and it will usually be a 1/2 point to 1 point past where the line moved to.

Used SOS last year but was not happy with their software glitches. I went with them for the 15% loss recoup (because I was just like the guys Nick Douglas talks about on his page today 7/23), but after being a Madjacker for a year now and knowing how it feels to win I will probably not use them this year.

I am looking to sign on with Acesgold, with all the good things I have been hearing about them.
