You're quoting from Zerohedge?

Zero Hedge was founded in January 2009.[2] Posts are signed "Tyler Durden," a character in the Chuck Palahniuk book and movie Fight Club,[3] reflecting the news site's activist posture.[2] Despite speculation that "Tyler Durden" is a pseudonym of Daniel Ivandjiiski,[3][4] who was penalized for insider trading in New York in September 2008,[5] Ivandjiiski denies being a founder of Zero Hedge. Rather, he says he is one of several writers contributing to the site under the pseudonym.

LMFAO.

Here are today's exchange rates. Do you see gold, oil, or any other commodity mentioned? No?

You can laugh all you want Duff.
Owner or creator of Zerohedge? Who cares?
There are multiple contributors and editors.

Marginalize it all you want.

The Dollar's time as THE reserve currency of the World is coming to an end. It may take 2 years, 5 years or a decade but it WILL end.

As for what currencies and metals and commodities did yesterday? Do you think one day's trading is what is important?
Do you not read about the manipulation of rates and FX and metals by the big banks? Do you not read about all the big firms paying fines for commodity manipulation and are now selling off their commodities trading businesses?

Why are China, India, Iran and Russia stockpiling gold?
Why are they signing trade agreements to use the Ruble or the Yuan in settling gold, oil and natural gas contracts? Why are they excluding the US Dollar? Why is China signing these deals with all of Pan-Asia as well as Brazil?
Why is Belguim (as a Proxy for the ECB) the largest buyer of US Treasuries at auction for the last 4 months...tiny little Belgium and not China or Russia?

So? Why would anyone care? The Euro is doing just fine. British Pound, Swiss Franc, Australian Dollar, Canadian Dollar - all strong and stable, and none of them are the reserve currency.

So why are you concerned? More Austrian Economics?

Done much shopping in the US lately using the Euro, Pound or Yuan?

Sure, Duff. Nothing here for you to worry about. Carry on as normal.

I wish I had. I'd have gotten a lot more for my money than using RESERVE CURRENCY USDs.

To quote YOU, ssd -

Yep, you present a scare article, but you have no idea who wrote it, what their qualifications are, what their motivation is, nor who paid them.

And you expect to be taken seriously?

You could quote Paul Krugman. Yes, that's his real name, he is a PhD economist and a Nobel Prize winner. He is paid by the NYT. You may not like what he says, but he is a real person, with real qualifications, a real name, and a real job.

And your sources are? BBBWWWAAAHHHHAAAA.

You never answered the question: Why should anyone give a flying shit if the USD is no longer the RESERVE currency? Before you answer, consider this:

I wish I had converted all my USD Reserve currency Dollars to Euros five years ago. I would have increased my net worth by 40%.

Reserve currency? A figment of your (and other assorted idiots and anonymous persons) imagination.

Get lost, ignoramus. NO....that's wrong. You are a dolt.

No, but thousands do every day. They just use their credit card to pay in the US, in dollars, and when they get home, say in France, their bill magically appears in Euros, just as my charges in Paris magically appear on my bill as dollars.
