How can the Canes not handle the tempo that Edmonton plays with? They just spent 7 games playing that tempo against Buffalo :shrug:

Usually the team that sits out a week is the one that is a step slower, but we shall see. Practice can never simulate game atmosphere.

If there's any game to hammer on the Oil it's got to be game 3. With Cam Ward and many of the Canes from the Edmonton area, I think there will be a lot of distraction for them. We'll see how the first two games play out.

GAME 7

I am going to hedge my initial series play on the Oilers and play the Canes (-160) to win Game 7. As much as I would like to see the Oilers win Game 7 I can't see the Canes losing 3 in a row and 2 consecutive games at home. Markannen has played outstanding under very difficult circumstances between the pipes for the Oilers, but I can't see him getting it done tonight in Carolina. My heart is backing the Oilers, but my money is on the Canes.
