OK...call me crazy but......

and I know I will get bashed for this for 2 weeks, BUT I honestly feel that Texas Tech is just the kind of team that can give Oklahoma troubles. No one is even really paying any attention to this game, but it is in Lubbock and Techsters will be fired up like crazy. Other teams that score a lot of points do so by dominating the line of scrimmage (ie. Oklahoma State) and that way is not going to beat Oklahoma. They are far too big and skilled to let that happen, BUT I do think that a team like Texas Tech that just chucks the ball around all day long has a chance. Now, I am not calling for the outright victory here, but what i am saying is that this game should not be dismissed as just another blowout for Oklahoma. This game could seriously get way out of control on the scoreboard, and if for some reason Oklahoma doesnt get the breaks to go their way for one day, I can see Texas Tech beating this team at home, say 55-51, or something along those lines. That may be the only way that this team can lose. They will not be stopped offensively and they will not be run on, so I guess the only way is for a team to chuck the ball around and maybe put up more points in a shootout. Just a thought, but I have a feeling that Oklahoma has been deemed as unbeatable and I am just trying to keep in perspective that these are just 18-22 year old kids and I still believe in the old saying that, the game is won on the field.

I will be curious to see a spread on this one.....

You must be absolutely be kidding yourself. 1st of all you think that Tech can score 51 points on this defense that is a complete joke; how many points did missouri score a team that ripped tech; what about osu a team that hung 50 on tech and beat tech; what is texas going to do them; I dont care that the game is at tech; ou will not look past anyone and look what happens with this ou team when they go up against potential heisman winners; and lets just say ou's def somehow gives up a few tds; tech's defense is god awful; they give up almost 450 yrds of offense to every team they play and have to face the #1 ranked scoring offense in the nation. The spread on this game will be around 18-19 minimum and with 2 weeks to prepare for the big xii champ game; not like last 2 years; no lookahead; this has blowout written all over it; symons throws at least 5 picks in this game; ou biiiiiiiiiiiiiig i think they win this game by 5 td's. I still cant believe you think a 1 dimensional team could beat ou's this post is crazy; i guess you are hoping ohio state could backdoor there way in there; 18-22 year old kid comments??? what

it has nothing to do with ohio state.....i am just saying that i think this game can be dangerous. if you re-read my post i am not even calling for a tech win. i am saying it is possible. and IT IS, whether you believe it or not.

i am not direspecting oklahoma....i am just saying that everyone is putting them in the championship game already, and with a trip to lubbock, anything is possible.

thanks mr hockey...who knows okie may blow them out. i just think that they have not seen a team that plays like tech does, and no other team has seemed to have a shot, so maybe that is what will be the formula to hang in there with them.

as you know, i think youre nuts for defending an overrated ohio state team (but thats neither here nor there ) but i do think your post re: texas tech has some general merit.

for starters, the line is going to be grossly inflated.

while i do feel texas tech is a very unphysical team, they have so much offense that they could stay in the game just by flinging it around.

before i go any further. i dont think tech will stay in the game, but it IS possible.

leech's system can have its days.

i dont think people realize that texas tech stunned texas last year when the horns were rolling. nobody thought tech's system would hold up to the test of the longhorns.

clearly, okie this year is a different story, but its NOT inconceivable.

do i think its gonna happen? no.

but on any given day, that system leech has can upset someone.

its going to rely on symons throwing ZERO interceptions the whole day.

i dont think OU is invincible.

i think people are also forgetting that colorado has one of the worsr defenses in the entire nation and they gave okie a scare a few weeks ago.

i think ou saw the same tech team last year and beat them by almost 60; you have to be able to run and pass to beat ou; and having a mobile qb always helps

that okie state game was much worse than the score indicated...it was 35-7 and oklahoma had no answer to the big play offense. the nation was pretty well stunned. it can happen again.....

what was the final score?? did you watch the game?? if ou won would they have played for the nat chame game...answer no; did they already have the south won; yes; did they go on and win the big xii; yes; did they go on and spank was state in the rose bowl; yes; can ou lose anything is possible; maybe in the big xii champ game against kstate; but when you see ou when they prepare for teams and have a purpose; hold a&m to 53 total yards and beat them 77-0 with only one a&m turnover; thats impressive; ou will have 2 weeks to prepare for tech as they have baylor at home next week then have 2 weeks to prepare for big xii cham game and a month to prepare for the sugar bowl..i wouldnt hold my breath on ou losing another game and 99% of people on mj would agree with that; i know you are an ohio state home but do you really believe ohio state could hang with 10 of ou; since you are a homer the answer is probably yes

sorry pal....it is almost impossible to blow out the buckeyes. the defense is too good.

we can definatly be beaten, in fact, i am preparing myself for a defeat in the next 2 weeks, as going to michigan is going to be damn tough.

no one is arguing that oklahoma is a great team. numbers dont lie, but believe it or not, they actually have to go to lubbock and play a game and score more points than another group of guys. it just so happens that the other group of guys can score an ass of points and may be able to keep up.
