I have been looking at this game a little...local line here is Horns -17. Ok St looked pretty impressive versus the Huskers last week, after trailing 16-0. Can Ok St stay in this game. I am a Horn fan, but this number just seems too high for me to swallow. Looking for input from the sperts around this joint. I will not lay the 17, but am considering taking this number.

I also am a Texas fan and think the number is too high. Okst has given us all we can handle the last two years and has improved every week this season. Our secondary is banged up and the Pokes like to throw the football. I won't ever bet against my Horns(bad karma,) but I would lean toward OSU in this game.

without going back and researching the last two meetings...didn't ok st jump out to big leads in both games and then Texas came roaring back to victory. And those big comebacks were with Vince Young at the helm.

This game remind sme of last years Texas Tech game. Texas atg home after a big win and laying 17 points against a good team (Tech was rated 10 at the time). Usually I would alwyas be all over tghe big puppy, but I warned anyone would listen that the chalk was righ this time...and it was a route.

I see the same thing. Lots of good reasons to back Okie State. But having watched the Horns all these years, I smell the blowout coming tomorrow. And as a little incentive they want to try and get the 3 spot in the pols instead of LVille.

Allnet...
IMO, this and the ISU-KU game are the two toughest games of the week to cap.
Great points can be made for both sides.
Gun to my head, I would take OSU... it's up to 18 now... and IMO, that is just too many points for a Texas team that won't pull out all the stops to get a blowout.
OSU bettors also have to like UT's leaky secondary. I read somewhere that UT is giving up around 40 YPG on the ground in the Big 12, but 330 through the air! I realize part of this is because teams have to play from behind, but there are questions back there.
I would expect UT to put pressure on Reid via the blitz to cut down on the time the corners have to cover and to negate some of his mobility. OSU has a big play offense, so they have a good matchup in that regard.
UT, however, outclasses them, and they are at home. It's just tough for me to put money on an OSU team that will be pummeled if Reid has a poor game.
There is strong backdoor possibilities for this one for OSU, and that is something else to like... they'll be flinging the ball all over the place in the 2nd half when they are down... But I guess a bet would come down to how much you trust Reid against the UT defense.

GL with your decision.

No doubt, Sun. Regardless of what people think are Mack's strength and weaknesses, he is a superb motivator and is sure to have his boys up for this one at home after tow tough road games. I'm probably not playing this game but I lean strongly to the Horns.
