Well a rematch that will tell a lot! The tables are turned as Tech is at home where they play much better.

But considering how the game went last time Tech only getting +2.5 is doesn't seem quite right. I guess we'll see just how good that home court advantage really is.

This game will also put Knights coaching to the test as we see how he counters the BIG sooners under the basket.

I attended the game in Norman two weeks ago and I think that the home court advantage is the only way this one stays close. Booby Knight has done an incredible job getting this team as far as he has. When you look at the true talent on the Tech team, there is not much especially compared to Oklahoma. But, Booby Knight is a much more proven coach than Sampson and that is an equalizer. With all hat said, I believe Oklahoma is the play here to win by 8-10. The quickness and athleticism of the Sooners is too much.

May be a homer call but I feel confident about it.

Unfortunately I think your right. I too think the line is giving too much credit to Knight and the Home court. I suspect that Vegas knows that people will see the Tech's record and bet on the "Knight" name as well.

I can't play this one, because I think the line is off and I'm sure as hell not routing for the Sooners!

I'll sit back and enjoy the Game !!!

no surprise but this officiating is absolutely horrible........Knight already has them in his back pocket.......Tech was the better play......

You guys are seeing classic Knight intimidation on the refs in this game. He had always done it in Indiana and he will continue to do it at T.T. Knights teams at home throught out his career have always shot more more double almost triple the opponents free throws at home. Call it what you want but, thats why they call it home court advantage. The man has a persona with the refs and they give in especially when he is on the home court.

I hate to inform you guys of this......

I hate to inform you guys of this......

but OU losing this game has absolutely nothing to do with the officiating. Besides, Tech is having another one of those bad free throw shooting games.

Team help defense, shot selection, recognition on offense, ability to execute out of a timeout, half court offense, passing, team rebounding. Classic Bob Knight. I hate the guy but I gotta give it up to him.

Tech keeps it pretty simple. 3 out offense... sometimes 4. They don't rely on tremendous offensive talent to score as much as they do good floor spacing and unselfish play. They get excellent shots and they play hard on defense. They also run quite a bit. Unlike Princeton, for instance, Tech is a pretty uptempo team. Transition and early offense are a staple of their offensive game. Then when they get into a half court set, each player appears to know exactly what he is trying to accomplish with every move he makes. If he dribble penetrates, he knows why. If he throws a pass, he knows why. Their floor spacing is absolutely incredible. Part of this, I think, is them using OU's pressure against them. Spread the floor against the pressure and that opens up back cuts and opportunities for dribble penetration.

Plus they are all playing hard, in addition to playing smart. The main thing is, however, that they seem to have bought into Knight's system. You can just tell they know what they're doing and they are confident.

Congrats to your team Red Raider!

another great coaching job by knight--always remember that after winning easily on your floor, you will lose the second time on his floor. this happened at iu for years. i am excited for the raider fans, because i know how exciting iu bball was in the seventies and eighties.

in no means am I saying officiating won this game for them, and complaints of it are not warrented. This is typical knight ball. Out shoot the opps at free throw line and great hustle and execution. Remember this is not Knights team yet. He will be getting his first recruiting class next year. This maybe a problem. I don't know who his assistants are but in his later years his recruiting was suspect at best. Most of the talent he got was home grown. It was an honor to attend indiana if you grew up in the state. Whether Texas Tech will have the same ability to get home grown people remains to be seen. But nationally is where Knight may have his problems. Like I have always said Tech fans enjoy it while you can because sooner or later he will melt down. Unless he has changed. Which would be a miracle in itself.

officiating had nothing to do with this one?????

you must have watched a different game........tone was set early by the refs and i think OU wouldda blown it out early just like last time but phantom calls, imagined 5 seconds, and sucking on the whistles on the other end totally set the stage and took OU out of their physical nature of play......this was terrible and I shut it off in the 1st half.......

I watched the entire game

I watched the entire game

The calls they made on OU looked pretty obvious to me...especially on the replays. I saw missed calls on both sides. I thought it was funny that in a crucial stretch from about the 8 minute mark to the 4 minute mark, every call went OU's way. Early in the game the refs ate their whistles, it was consistent, but very few fouls were called early, and there was A LOT of contact both ways.

I don't think this is one of those losses you can chalk up to the refs. Bobby Knight can coach and I hope at some point some of you lads can bring yourself to see this.

They got handled. Period.

that was a horribly officiated game but that happens a lot in the big 12.......OU was taken out of their game early by the refs period. Phantom calls every time that swingman for Tech got the ball... OU never got to the line when their big men had the ball underneath......in particular Selvy got taken out of the game early....don't know how you could say that OU got any calls from the refs.....unless you hate OU
