good luck, have watched these two a few times and undecided on total but i saw this in mizzou's school paper and wanted to know if anyone knew more about it--
Before Saturday's game with Colorado, Forward Kareem Rush did not leave the locker room with the team. He was getting his left ankle wrapped and a pain-killing shot.
While the other Tigers had laughed and shot in warm-ups a half-hour earlier, Rush landed on an errant basketball while going for a layup, spraining his ankle.
?It was a freak thing,? Rush said. ?I came down on a loose ball and just turned it (the ankle).?
About three minutes before the game, Rush entered the court, slowly walking to the rack of basketballs, grabbing one from the second row and began dribbling away from his teammates. He then began hopping, hoping to loosen the ankle, but the stretching, the ankle wrap and the shot were not working.
?I got re-taped,? Rush said. ?I got a shot. It was supposed to relieve some of the pain, but it wasn?t really doing a good job of doing that.?
Rush played, but was limited, sitting out three times because of the pain, and leaving for the locker room once.
Despite struggling to walk after the victory, Rush said he will play Monday against Oklahoma State, an important game for the Tigers, who are on the NCAA Tournament bubble.
