LSU -5 over Tex AM ****
AM just lost to Miss and scored 50 pts and lost by 11.Their offense is inconsistent. Meanwhile the Tigers even though coming off a loss to Kentucky the other day can score avg 85 pts a game. Back court is loaded and Thomas is avg 21 pts and 6'8 Watford is a rebounder and scorer inside and dominate in the paint. This is one of the top scoring teams in the country.. Can they play defense..Vs Tex AM that shouldn't be a problem Back in late Dec LSU blew AM away 77-54.. Not sure why the line is so low I had it at LSU -8 or 9 so I love the extra pts Tigeers win by double digits

SMoo +2.5 over Memphis **
Jankovich out with C-19.. but he can't score or shoot anymore only coach I love Davis for the Mustangs. At 5'10 he is among the leader in assists and is a waterbug.. Tigers need to try to contain him but Mustangs have Hunt inside and Chargois Both teams ats trends are bad Smoo is 2-6 ats on the road and memphis is 1-4 ats at home.. Memphis shoots FT at 62% and 3's at 27%.. Think Smoo can get a road win in the conf / Last yr Smoo won by 5 or 6 pts

Richmond -11 over St Joes **
Joe cannot play any defense what so ever. they are giving up close to 84 pts a game. Thats what they get for firing Martelli a few yrs ago. { I have to get over that} But Richmond shot 24-24 from the FT line in last game. any team that shoot shoot like that I'm backing them regardless of who your playing..

Texas -4 over OU *
Shacka is out with C-19.. that is the only reason I'm backing the Longhorns Maybe his asst coach might have some basketball iq on the bench tonight. Tex ha =s so much talent It has 3 gds that can all dribble ,pass, penetrate and shoot. All 3 can throw the lob pass inside to a front line that is also loaded. Sims Brown Kai Jones,Hamm...and Brown is one of the best freshmen in the country at 6'9 He avgs 12 pts and 8 bds and plays only 20-30 minutes He can play all 5 positions ..that is whats rare about him. He plays the pt and has a handle and can pass He does walk sometimes because of his height. Texas hasn't played in a few weeks due to c-19 and some players sat out last game but everyone is back tonight except the coach.. Texas has won 6 pf last 9 games but 0-5 ats They play at the end of a game with no basketball IQ If they need to take some air out and play the clock Forget it Someone will take a wild 3 or turn it over. Backing Texas is a struggle. OU has now won a few in a row and beat Kansas just like the Longhorns If Shacka was coaching would take Lon Krugers team and the +4.
I did get a call yesterday to sit in for Shacka by the AD of Texas I told him. I need some motion offense ,screen away from the ball, not on the ball and when OU defenders over play go BACKDOOR.. Not sure if Texas has 1 backdoor basket all year. Also with Ramey and Coleman stay on the ground and stop leaving your feet.. unless you guys are in the Air Force ROTC program. Lob passes are good but lets not go to the well to many times.. And OU has Reaves one of the best pure shooters in the country, although this year he is only hitting 23 % How about we throw a box and one on him for a few series...and since we have the best freshmen in the country in Brown how about giving him the ball on one side and everyone go to the other side. Think that when the AD hung up on me And I'm still taking the Longhorns ...as long as shacka is home in bed

best bet
LSU big

Dog lover I saw that before game time and flipped to OU I was already leaning towards OU plus the pts Watched the game and if they called me to coach think I might of made a difference. lol:mj07: They let Reaves who had 23 pts just get open looks . When he was at Wichita a few yrs back he was a dead eye shooter. Although my box and one would of slowed him down, Texas just plays stupid at the end of every game. I guess it doesn't matter who is on the Texas bench. But missing Ramey. Sims and Brock was big and then 3 other guys fouling out.. But Texas has so much depth.. they just play to loose and have very little discipline . But talent wise they are probably better then everyone but Baylor.
Franchilla the ESPN announcer might get the Fordham job. They just fired their coach yesterday . Fran who coached at Manhattan and St Johns and was fired by the Johnnies after a St Johns game when he pulled his pants down in the lockeroom and grab his balls and told his team " you guys play like you have no balls" Unfortunately the St Johns team chaplain was in the looker room and reported it. 24 hours later he was fired.. Of course when he applied to ESPN for a commentator position that never come up . And Fordham is a Catholic school run by the liberals Jesuits ...one of the interview questions that Fordham should ask today is " Fran,if your team is not playing to your expectations other then pulling your pants down and grabbing your balls what other means do you have toget your message across" ?
He is an excellent announcer and really a good coach I have had many Fran stories over the years and last year got to talk to him at halftime at a Texas game .. my father who was a member of the Manhattan tip in club wrote him a letter about how he treated me when the two of us both won the NY State Coach of the year award . Me for HS and him for his year at Manhattan College. Should of never told my father the story and I begged him not to write Fran . But a few years later when St Johns fired him my dad was so happy.
Hopw he does get the Fordham job..

Owen thank you didn't get to see any of the LSU game

Dryness the best coach in Austin Texas is not Shacka Smart but Andre Cook of St Edwards.. do you know Coach Cook. He coached and played at Hudson Valley CC . Think he left after around 2008 or 2009 and now coaches St Eds a D-3 team that wins around 30 games a year. He has been to the nationals the last 2 or 3 years. He played his HS basketball at Watervliet ... I met him a few times and have been to a few St Eds basketball games An outstanding coach that teaches fundamentals .. I was from Sec 9( the Hudson Valley ] You guys in the Capital Region always had great basketball teams Shenandoah MT Pleasant etc Unfortunately I made the NY state finals in Glenn Falls 3 years and lost all 3.. my nickname was " the Bud Grant of High School basketball " I guess Bud lost 3 super Bowls when he coached the Vikings.
in 1995-96 I was named the NYBACC coach of the year in the state. To this day the only coach to win that award and not win a state championship . think my fellow NY state coaches felt sorry for me. hope you enjoy Vermont.

in Austin we stay 2 Steers apart
