I have a problem with a time of possession argument based solely on sustained drives by running the ball. No matter how many long drives Georgia has, that does not necessarily pose a problem to Oklahoma's offense. With the exception of onside kick recovery, OU will get an equal amount of opportunities to put points on the scoreboard, and they often don't need much game clock to do it.
If it takes Georgia's running game a while to start wearing down the OU defense and OU can get an early lead, they are also very capable of running the clock. In that case, Georgia's strength of their running attack and using up game time would work against them.
If Georgia gets behind in this game, uh huh, uh huh, its going to be tough sledding with Fromme having to win the halftime score with his arm.
And Georgia also has a excellent field goal kicker. That plays into my hands as Georgia usually kicks field goals instead of 4 and 3 trying to make it.
