I'm hearing a lot of chatter related to several Ok St. injuries as well as conduct issues.

Hearing the game is getting pulled off the board for some books...

Anybody have confirmed info as to what's going on? :0corn

Thanks I.E.

I'm liking Georgia more and more... Under Richt, GA is 30-4? That's supportive as well...

Update: Apparently, the Zac Robinson injury is just a "horrible internet rumor." That's great news for the Pokes, and will make you feel a lot better if you bet on Oklahoma State.

Like OU, Oklahoma State has a big non-conference game, and actually a much bigger one. Unlike OU, they get to play at home in Stillwater, but they do face a more dangerous opponent (on paper, anyway): The Georgia Bulldogs. It is perhaps the most significant opening game in OSU history. With preseason hype at unprecedented levels for the Cowboys, this is a big, early chance to prove the doubters wrong and their supporters right.

Unfortunately for Oklahoma State, Mike Gundy apparently didn't like his "man" reflection and broke all the mirrors in his house, because the Cowboys have suffered one heck of a wave of back luck this week. Talk about horrible timing. I had actually just come back from class and saw the news that Zac Robinson might not play, leading to more revisions to this post and making me wonder if I should bother with it in the first place. However, despite the injuries, it is still a big game, so I will still take a brief look at Georgia and how they match up against the Pokes.

UGA's King won't make trip to season opener
Tailback still recovering from hamstring injury
By Tim Tucker

ATHENS ? Caleb King, Georgia?s No. 1 tailback at the start of preseason practice, won?t be on the plane to Oklahoma State for Saturday?s season opener.

Georgia set its 72-player travel squad Wednesday, and King was left off because his hamstring ? injured Aug. 12 ? has not healed enough for him to play, coach Mark Richt said.

King has not participated in contact work since the injury and is still not running at 100 percent, Richt said. ?He was running, I?d say, at least three-quarters speed [Wednesday],? Richt said.

Also absent from the travel squad: defensive end Kiante Tripp, who has an injured shoulder.

It has been clear for almost two weeks that Richard Samuel would start at tailback and be backed by Carlton Thomas in the opener, but Richt had said King would make the trip if he was running full-speed by mid-week.

Richt said ?I would think? King will be ready to play in the Sept. 12 home opener against South Carolina.

Walk-on Kalvin Daniels will be the Bulldogs? No. 3 tailback Saturday, although freshman Washaun Ealey also will make the trip.

I have not been impressed with what I have seen of Samuels. Hopefully this is a break out year for him.

And just to pour salt into a pretty big wound, senior linebacker Orie Lemon ? the quarterback of the defense ? tore a knee ligament and was ruled out for the season on Tuesday.

From the IE article

anytime you lose the QB to the defense of a defense that is already not top notch :SIB

and then the cornerback situation ....

will he play ? wont he play ?

Report: Georgia QB Cox has the flu
By ALEXIS STEVENS

Georgia quarterback Joe Cox is battling flu-like symptoms. But he is still expected to play Saturday, according to various sources.

TV Listings
The No 13. Bulldogs are traveling to Stillwater, Okla., to face No. 9 Oklahoma State. But Cox may not be traveling with the team, which was supposed to leave around 1 p.m. Firday.

Cox is still planning to make the trip, according to ESPN.com.

The senior quarterback has been sick with ?the flu? for the past couple of days, according UGASports.com.

Among the sources who confirmed this story are three players on the team that asked not to be named and others close to the program.

As of late Wednesday night, Cox did not appear to have flu-like symptoms.

If Cox is unable to play, the starting quarterback duties would fall on sophomore Logan Gray.

This is terrible if true.

But would Cox really be allowed to travel with the team if he has flu symptoms in light of the H1N1 going on right now?

Looks like Cox is going but on a separate plane.

i would rather just quarantine him from the team, to be honest.

Gray is untested but not the worst QB we've ever seen.

how the hell can they let him go on a separate plane ?

Will he have separate lockerroom ?

If someone tackles him will they be at risk ?
