‪Milder very good news for the vaxxed or folks with previous infection...for folks who aren?t, I guess it?s a less bumpy way than previous strains to get your immunity, because much sooner than later, everyone is gonna get Covid, it?s endemic now, like over 150 other respiratory bugs...‬

‪Data finally out to show omicron seems mild in all age groups:‬

‪And data for hospital stay, which is a good preliminary indicator of virulence, shows mild:‬

This data from South Africa....the stuff from Denmark or UK, you might be hearing about, is way too preliminary to draw any conclusions.

It?ll be a week or so before we can definitely say omicron is milder, but experts now fairly confident it is milder.

When omicron sweeps across US next month, some hospitals already filled up, with these non-vaxxed and not previously infected folks, like in Michigan, will go beyond the breaking point and it will get ugly. Only a fast crushing super hard lockdown/closure of most businesses now will flatten that, and there is no stomach for those measures.

But for healthy vaxxed or previously infected folks, like NFL players and most older adults in US, it worse than the flu, but not by a whole lot.

NFL will have hundreds more test positive soon, they should just stop testing for it.

All sports teams should just stop Covid tests. Who cares if your sniffles are Covid, or flu, or cold, or RSV. Worry about that only in rare case ya gotta go to hospital. Over 60% be so mild won?t know they sick, or barely know they are.

On the course!
Omicron spreads like crazy, so the message is to get vaxxed, get boosted.

Now.

Vaccine very very effective keeping ya out of hospital or death...Everything else, like masks or distancing, and such, is just fluff at this point.

If you haven't been vaxed, you ain't getting vaxed.

Not sure if accurate, but cdc is reporting about 3 million new fully vaxxed in the last 14 days.

Over 8 million boosters administers in same time period.
