dont want the points. wont need 'em. bucs got their asses handed to them by chattanooga a month ago but etsu has handled this team in recent years and recent big games. normally these two are playing for all the marbles. obviously east tennessee has been a roller coaster team this season but theyve played very well on this final homestand of the season. mocs have been unbeatable at home but garbage on the road lately. frankly, they shouldnt be favored here. allowing creighton to knock down twenty 3s on saturday was ridiculous but not totally surprising considering how mediocre their defense has been away from home. from what ive read, i almost get the feeling that this has been the one game the bucs have been waiting for to close the regular season. theyre coming into this game shooting the ball well (53%, 50%, and 57% the L3 gms). theyve really done a great job of jumping on the last couple opponent from the opening tip, leading greensboro 64-29 at half, wcarolina 49-41 at half, and austin peay 55-32 at the break. no reason they shouldnt win here.
