Quick reflexes, lucky kid..........

LAKE BUENA VISTA --

It was a close call Saturday for a fan during a spring training game between the Pittsburgh Pirates and Atlanta Braves at Disney's Wide World of Sports complex.

During the game, a player was up to bat when the bat went flying into the stands. A quick reaction by a man in the stands who deflected the bat from hitting a boy sitting next to him.

Christopher Horner, a photographer for the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review, captured the incident with his camera. The photos show just how close the bat was to the boy's head.

The Pirates went on the win the game 9-6.

Agreed but the reality is people will always have moments of distraction in the stands... somebody's gonna die if they don't put up nets.

thats why i never ever sit lower level dayum you could be killed and guess what.

ON back of every ticket they cover thier asses NOT responsible for injury or even death by flying obects. Or something like that .
