The line is fair - scoring margin and some top line stats make this look like a much closer game than 20 points.
But some mismatches at a 1-1 level here, ind st defense can look atrocious at times, and analytics rank the teams about 21 pts apart. And the SOS difference is so far apart its impossible to compare.
That said, I like Ind St’s bench, which will be tested as ohio st plays a physical game, foul trouble for ISU and points in the paint are the way ohio st can blow this out. As always big conference officials and a home venue will ensure ohio state either has its way in the paint or worst case shoots 25-30 FTs.
So why am I on ind st? Enough 3 pt shooting and depth to withstand the above points.
Also ohio st probably comes in a little bit hot after blowing out kentucky a week ago… but they also got dismantled by maryland and auburn by 30 pts or so each game this month. So their worst game shows up often enough too.
