The kick must be a free kick: a kickoff, or free kick after a safety, but not the rare fair catch kick.

bro what arent you getting?????

noone is saying they woulda done it the same way

all people are saying is that it was the only way for haurghbaugh to gaurantee the game was 100% over and he would be declared the winner

why risk losing/injury regardless of how unlikely...

that is why espn classic is around....because crazy shit happens at the end of games, that poeple say "never could happen"

sorry you lost...

but he made a coaching decision

Who said I lost ??? LMFAOOOOOOOO

Let me get this straight......which is more likely.

1 Smith fumbles the snap trying to kneel , giving Seattle the ball back down 7.

2- Seattle kicks an onside 'PUNT" recovers. Goes down and scores a touchdown. Kicks another onside kick goes down and scores. All this with 40 seconds left and no timeouts

ok great if you won

but im guessin you lost

if you honestly cannot see how haurghbaugh made a decision based off likelyhood of injury and or a crazy ending, then perhaps you need to rethink it

WHY RISK LOSING ANY MAN ON A ALREADY LIMITED ROSTER WHEN YOU CAN JUST TAKE A KNEE AND WALK AWAY AS HEALTHY AS POSSIBLE....

as long as you quit betting on all the "fixed" games

seems like certain people only lose games because they are "fixed" or because vegas made a call.....

Been betting for 20 years. Times I've seen an NFL team screw up a kneeldown? Zero. No fumbled snaps, regardless of what Schiano thinks..

didnt rivers do it last year?

but still this guy is crazy to think haurghbaugh made a bad coaching decision

man if fuckin tate coulda just got a first down with reaching another 6 inches we couldve avoided all this...

except then it woulda been seattle backers saying it was fixed and the chop block was "the fix"

Oh yeah, agreed. Rivers did do it. Although was that a kneel down?

Browns got 2 onside kicks a few years back too

Either way my point is harbaugh did it for football reasons, not because of a point spread.

And as far as tonight, Seattle was the right side. The safety would have been a fluke ending. 49ers weren't covering the whole game

Wait!! Last year or maybe 2 years ago. Phillip Rivers fumbled a snap trying to run the clock out at KC and KC recovered and scored to win the game.....:142smilie But that was Rivers!!:toast:

So. Cal
None of you think this is remotely fishy especially based of the crazy line movement today??

agreed!

i think the late flag on an incorrect penalty awarding the niners a safety was fishy.

harbaugh declining the penalty was the right call for his team to win the game.

Listen rather then thinking th nfl is fixed, I would prefer to just think that haurghbaugh is a degenerate gambler like people accuse him of.

He took seattle +8 thinking it would be a knockout type game and hedge if they lost SU....least he wins money if they lose...

I would think a scenario like that is much more in the realm of possible when compared to an entire NFL game being fixed...

Cause it has been said that haurghbaugh loves to gamble...

Pete rose, make room in the hall of shame

Nah I doubt either scenario is true, and he just did it to benefit his team....
